before, we don't run out of newspapers at home. i remembered i always have them since i am a writer before in our school paper. i feel the need to have them since i gather data for my articles. i have interviewed the newspapers vendors and i just knew that their sales declined due to the fact that internet access is already readily available. how about you? are you still buying them?

With the help of news papers, we can access the day today news wherever we want, like while travelling, in the bathrooms and toilets, whereas net news dont have such advantages, and they are very brief, but news papers flash news in detail. I prefer news paper, secondly the used news papers can be recycled/used/sold. [samson1967]
that's absolutely true. People will read the newspaper to get the total information that is happening in the world.Even though the technology has developed lot with the implement of television and internet peoples have got the habit of reading newspaper in the early morning after from the bed. Exposure to the news is not limited; readers can go back to the messages again and again if so desired. you're right too in terms of recycling these papers. [flagella08]
I used to have a habit of reading newspapers. But now, with the development of the Internet, I often gain information via the Internet. Yes, I believe that most people here will choose the news on the Internet instead of reading newspapers. Compared with newspapers, we can gain the latest news with a high speed. At the same time, we don't need any moeny for the news online while we have paid for the newspapers. So, it is ovbiously that sales of newspapers would decline due to the fact that internet access is already readily available. In my opinion, it is unnecessary completely to buy the newspapers. [getbrowser]
Occasionally I will read the newspaper but for the most part I get my news off the internet. I do a lot of work on the computer so it is more convenient for me to read the new online and I don't have the added expense of buying the paper. [Oceanblueeyes]
yes.that's more convenient and is less costly too. [flagella08]
Yes, we do buy newspaper daily. I am from Sri Lanka. I don't read much news on papers. But my dad buys the daily news(Tamil language) daily... Mum reads the paper daily and tell me all the important news... On Sunday's we buy both the English n Tamil news paper... I read only the English paper as I don't understand Tamil much.. I just go through the pics on Tamil Paper... On net, I don't read daily.. If any News titles is catchy Ion yahoo home page, I read it... [vjsinduja]
I don't still purchase them. That doesn't mean that i don't read them,i do if i come across any. In all, internet has made things easy & cheap! [Rickytale]
reading news in the net is quite that cheap than buying newspapers. but i still prefer buying ones since i can reuse them after reading.i also use them for my kids projects. i cut clips or pictures from them. [flagella08]
yes i prefer newspaper more. I always used to read it at morning.....yes we can get anything on net...but still people always buy newspaper..and also they like to use more in compare of net.... [padhiaranand]

that's the benefit of having the net. you can read a lot of articles and news in just an hour and will just pay very less. [flagella08]
Ever since i started having an internet connection at home, i never had bought newspapers and even magazines anymore. I just open the internet and i could find almost everything , it's as if i have a giant library inside my house so i just thank the creator of internet. [xannebull]
Yes I still do. I am still much satisfied in reading the daily newspaper. It's because somehow some little bits of the newspapers are not really posted in the net (well atleast in the case of my newspaper). [earth2jacq]
I read the newspaper every Sunday. We have the daily local newspaper & I sometimes read it. I rarely read the news on the net. It really hurts my eyes when I read something on TV for a long time. [radiance27]
I still do. I read during the morning during break time at work or when I am not busy at work. We have a newspaper subscription in the office so I do not need to spend any money to read the newspapers. I guess, it has been a habit of mine to read the news even before the internet was not that easily accessible. [jpso138]
I like to read the news headlines on the internet, but I still like to read the traditional newspaper. There are just some things in the traditional newspapers that don't make it on line. I also like to read store ads and clip coupons that you can only get with the traditional newspaper. I do like to go on line though and archive old news articles. [sender621]
Though all newspapers are found on net, but i still buy my newspaper. Infact, reading printed newspaper has become a part of my daily habit. Happy mylotting. [borhan]
I get most of my news on the internet. I do like to get the Sunday Newspaper. It is fuller with more sections and has all the store flyers. I will sit down and read the Sunday Paper. I also read my town's local newspaper because their website isn't great and doesn't contain all the local news stories. [realan]
Yes i still read the newspaper aside from reading the news in the internet. One of the main reasons for reading the newspaper is my husband's regular article on the IT in one of the country's top newspaper. Although it is also in the net but i find it more personal and fun finding his article in the newspaper. [msfrancisco9369]
I am not big when it comes to the news especially since most news is bad news and no one wants to hear a load of bad news, but whenever I do read the news I usually read the newspaper since my parents get the newspaper, and it seems more interesting to read the news in the newspaper instead of reading it online, and it is easier to find what you are looking for in my opinion, even though personally I rather watch the news on television as well because it helps me comprehend the news better when I read it,but also hear it from someone else, which when my wife reads something in the news it works just the same, because I have ADD and it takes reading it and being told it before it seems to sink into my skull lol. [hellcowboy]
I get my news immediately I don't wait to see what happened yesterday [macdrizzle]
yes I do read some of the print media [dhawanbm]
No our local paper is very biased so I will NOT buy it. I will look at their website to get local news. I think newspapers are a thing of the past. [laglen]
Yes. I still buy newspapers. It is an old habit. I enjoy reading it at the table when I eat my breakfast. It is much harder to read the news on the net at your dining table. That is why I think newspapers will never go out of business. Sure their business will and has shrunk, but there will always be those dining table readers, as well as those bathroom readers (reading while sitting on the throne is something I do often). That is why I think newspapers will always have a niche to fill. Plus, I find it easier to read newspapers than read articles on the web. My eyes start to hurt when I stare at a computer for over an hour. [greatsasuke]
oh yes, there's nothing btter than sitting at the breakfast table with the newspaper before work, i like to read the news in the papers better than i do online, there's something very different about it. [puddytatt]
I still read the newspaper as there is always something special about having the physical thing in your hand .That is not to say that I dont go on the net and read teh newspaper but there have been times when i have found that process here at home to be a bit cumbersome and doesnt give me the same epxerience as the physical thing [ronnyb]
Nope. It costs money and newspaper is an unpleasant kind of paper. The ink stays on your fingers and you have to find the space and time to throw them away, plus they bring roaches. The net is so much more convenient. You can read any paper in the world you want and then move on to something else that will interest you. The net is a lot better. [Bluepatch]
Sure... when I find newspapers in hotels, bars... Only sometimes I read news on the net. prefer listen from the radio or watching the TV. [annihilus]
Yeah,I like read newspapers,in the bed,in a rain day.especially sports news of newspaper!since my personal computer desktop type, you can't take it on the bed!so,I still buying them. [lichee_china]
I find newspaper much more suitable for local news than international news. I can get international news on web.But local news, or the regional ones, rarely make upto the web, until and unless, they are issues that suddenly became national or global. So, newspaper reading is still a habit, which I can't stop, even after the powerful and mighty web. [scarsofdeath]
As I also write I glance through newspapers for article ideas as well. Although I am online a great deal of the time and read a lot of info online, there is still something more enjoyable about sitting down and scouring something in print, whether it be a book, magazine or newspaper. But I fear it is a dying art and one day all info will be online. [paintswithwords]
Hi, when I am on the train I will read a newspaper for goofing, and other times I never buy a newspaper, I will always choose to read news in the net, it much easy than buy a newspaper, and I can choose the news I like very easily, and I like fashion magazine than the newspaper. [kindy198636]
I never have bought them, actually. My parents sometime gets them from a friend of ours who throws papers. He'll have extra and give them to us. But I just read them for the comics. [Staraven]
I like to read newspapers and also still read the news on the net because one might publish more news then the other [Rondita]
you have a point there. the other advantage is that we can have the hard copy on these pages. we can always look back and read. i also love to look at the entertainment part of the papers. im also fond of answering the crossword puzzles. [flagella08]
Both... we still buy newspapers for ads, jobs, business opportunities, and news too.. same on the internet but for news around the world... uhmm.. weather also because some countries now forecasts our weather here in our location... [vhinzstrife]
reading news papers cheaper than the News in da Net. But the News in the net is more custermize than the reguler news papers such as we can chanhge the language in News in th net. But News in the Net can cause some damage to Eye it can avoide by reguler news papers. So my opinion is to Use News papers rather than the News in the net so you can save youre eye. [aroshajayasanka]
i agree with you. long hours of exposure to computer can damage one's eyes especially when the light is very heavy. unlike when reading the news in the newspapers, we can always find time to relax and go over the pages again. when you have log in to the net, you get to have patronize everything because you;re conscious of your bill and electricity. [flagella08]
Yes we still read newspaper daily.we will also read news from internet also.but we like to read news from newspaper only as we are very much habituated to read newspaper from many years.we feel something missing if we didnt read newspaper.we can also cut the information that we want from the newspaper and save it.what about you?will you read newspaper or read news from internet? [lilly_jasmine]
I am more comfortable to read the news in newspapers than reading in net. I will be in a such hurry to read news in internet. In newspapers I will go through it as I wish. So I prefer newspapers [vijiboopathy]
no i dont even want to know the news because in my book they are just lies. so the answer is no :D [rapideficient]
Yes of course! Without holding a newspaper in my hands, my day just does not begin. I like my newspaper on my bed with my cup of tea, early in the morning! The net can never ever give me that comfort. I can of course have my laptop but I'll be more concerned about its Safety than my convenience…I cant just toss it to one corner of the bed, can I? and then there such a warm feeling in holding the newspaper in your hands…reading online news is somehow very fake to me with so many pop-ups and ads and other interruptions! Reading newspaper is like reading a book…you should be able to carry it with you, read it whenever you want and in whatever place and position and it should be absolutely comfortable for you [sudiptacallingu]
hello ~ my friend~ aha , i gotta tell you that there are still many newspaper in my home , my grandpa love read newspapers very much ,and he have keep that habit for 40years ,now most of the young are reading news on computer , but you know that those old person like my grandpa do not know play computer ,so they would rather read newspapers . i predict that newspaper would disppear in 20 years ~ hahaha . have a nice day ~! [huangdangwu]
I'm getting more of my news from the Internet and television than I get from reading the print versions of newspapers. This is difficult to admit because I retired from a career in newspaper journalism. I now only subscribe to the Sunday paper. That's mainly because I'm trying to cut down on paper clutter. However, I do read various newspapers online. That's the future of newspapers and they'll be better off once they learn how to make as much money with online newspapers and can make the transition. [Clicker625]
frankly, i seldom buy them now. but if there are newspaper around me, i'd prefer to read newspaper. which will make me feel good, esp for my eyes.wink [yolanda19191]
I still like my newspaper, even though it is yesterday's news.Don't get me wrong,I love the interent and all of the things we are able to do on it.But I really miss the old days when people still wrote letters, we had to watch the news, and all of that other good stuff. [erikmama]
I still read the newspapers instead of the news on the net. Although I do beleive that the news online can be more diverse and you can find specificlaly what you are looking for, the newspapers are not without their charm. There should be something done about it though because of the waste of paper. [avnieuwkerk]
I always read the free newspapers you can pick up in the stations. They're not the best source of news, but they're free. When I prefer to read more news or a better source I read online newspapers, as they're free too. [madteaparty]
Though my husband checks the news on the net, I prefer the newspaper. Husband reads the newspaper...checks the news on television AND checks the news on the net. I prefer the newspaper and that's what I'm going to stick to...lol. We still buy a newspaper everyday. [SViswan]
it is intersting that get up early morning, taking one cup of tea, adding paper with hand and read ,really super. this is not giving internet know, [indhunair]
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, i am quite interesting in reading daily newspaper, whenever i wake up in the morning, initially i need newspaper, even after when i am spending my 10-12 hours of time over internet, but reading newspaper with a cup of tea would be the ultimate option for me and anybody else, either in some cases when i need news specially in case of urgency, i switch to the internet for getting latest updates, everyday i read news over internet, but definitely i would prefer newspapers daily and magazines, because where i felt more comfortable and easyness than internet [quixotecybercafe]
Though we can access all kinds of news through the Internet ,I still read the Newspapers.Old habits die hard. [riverblue]
