well when ever some one add me his/her friend i just see them profile and approves them. but i have seen people who also rejects.
i would like to give u advise donot rejct any friends request by this way u can earn more responses to ur discussions.

I approve any friend request that I get. That way I have more discussions that I can answer and I have more people that will see my discussions and answer them. Although I have found that even with a big friends list, more of my responses come from people who aren't on my friends list. [ravinskye]

I will always approve a friend request. To me, friends are important as they can opt to get alerts when you post a new discussion. based on my experience, I will get lots of replies or comments from friends rather than from someone who is not in my list. Apart from that, I will get alerts when they posted their discussions and I can go straight to those discussions. Only when I am done with that, I would go and look for other discussions such as this one. [shakeroo]

It is very rare for me not to accept a friend, because this is a friendly site and I love making friends from around the world. However if someone has just added me as a friend without reading one of my discussions I find it strange because at least take a notice of my profile or respond before adding me, otherwise why have you chosen me? I have a lot of friends on Mylot which is great, but it is not easy to reply to everyone, not enough hours in the day. [wolfie34]

There are three category of people among my lot friends. 1. As soon as they become member of mylot, they apply for friendship thinking that they are in safe hands. 2. There are people who like the discussion topics and apply for friendship 3. there are people who want the friendship thinking that all thetime we willbe contributingg to discussions 1 out of 100 really worthy to be friend, they actively participte and give valuable suggestions and stay as member for long. Hi Simplyman.. On 99 out 100 times i approve a friends request, and on one or two occassions i have denied,the friends request. Once i deleted a few friends from my friends list as they have started sending PM's to me exclusively for promoting his ptc sites. I dont like getting spam messages from them. I don't easily add friends, I try to keep them low as much as possible so I can be sure that I'd get to most of their posts and respond to their discussions. I don't post much, so I don't expect them to always come on my own discussions whenever I start one. The important thing is that we have "connections" with each other, from interests or simple subjects that we can discuss every now and then.. [raijin]

I study the requests i recieve for friendship and look in to the persons profile, the kind of discussions started, responses given trying to build a picture of the individual. When i feel that the concerned person is just right to be my friend i give an approval. I also see that the person is active member. If the personis a new member i wait for sometime before giving my approval trying to judge the person during that time. If in that period the person is inactive i ignore the request. [limcyjain]

I normally approve people that have requested my 'friendship'. Though when I first joined up I denied a couple of people as I didn't know what I was doing. LOL And when I request a friendship on here it is because 1) I responded to the person's discussion, 2) they responded to mine, or 3) we have the same interests. Pretty simple really. :) [sacmom]

I always check their profile out of curiosity to see who they are and what made them request my 'friendship', but I always accept no matter what, because I know how I would feel if I was requesting somebody as a friend and they rejected my request. In fact I don't even request any friends because of that. The only time I was going to request somebody as a friend, I went to find out how to do that, but they had beat me to it! I have to go through all the users who has sent me a friend request because I didn't have a time to be on Mylot for a long time and now I see that 84 people has sent me a friend request. I usually go to their profile and also see what type of topics they've been posting. If someone has been posting something really offensive then I would deny. I don't deny for no reasons but I also feel that I have a right to choose who I want to be on my friend list :) [ruby1459]

I approve them all as long as the are legitamate peole who's website does not look so skeezy. I know someone who deny my best friend girlfriend and it totally hurt their feelings. Not to mentoin it started a fight between them that could have been avoided by just pressing accept. [patweehee]

I never rejected someone's request here in mylot, ever. I think it's a pleasure that someone saw you here and got interested probably, it means you are something here that's why they asked you to accept them in your friend's list. I say don't reject friend's request too because some mylotters respond to their friend's discussion most of the time and that'll help you grow here in mylot. :) [MGjhaud]

That's a good advice. We must not reject a friend request. In my entire stay here in mylot I never rejected a friend request. In fact, it boosts my morale when someone accepted my request or would like to add me in their friend's list. The mere fact that someone would like to add you as their friend, is a simple implication that there is something in you that he or she likes. And that is a good thing. Aside from earning here in mylot, there is a big chance that you can build friendship in here not just for the purpose of increasing your earnings. I have met friends here even though I havent met them. I can ask questions to them whenever I want to know something then they reply. [bestre]
