I like reading books on my bed. It's relaxing and I feel that's the way I like when I am reading.

I have always read before going to sleep. If I don't read, I can't sleep. It relaxes me and sometimes I don't realize how late is has become. I am lucky I work from home so I don't have to worry about being late for work and getting fired. [darberg]
I love to read in bed and sometimes take advantage of it when hubby works nights. Usually he goes to be much earlier than me so reading in bed is impossible, unless I were to do it during the day. However, when I am reading in bed I tend to fall asleep pretty quickly. Needless to say I don't do it very often. [patgalca]

I love to read in my bed, youless. I have spend many hours reading in bed. I think that libraries should have lounge chairs so that library patrons can be more relaxed and comfortable when reading. I truly do not understand why libraries do not have these types of chairs, or even beds. I bet that reading would be more popular if there were Beds in libraries! [Transdisc]

Yes, I also like reading books on my bed especially if the books are too thick. It is like you, I think it is also relaxing. I can't stand sitting hours while reading the books because I just can't concentrate. It is too tired. But I ever heard that reading books on a bed is not good for our eyes. [friendship]
My parents also warned me that reading books on bed was harmful for eyes. But actually my near-sighted eyesight because of the heavy study, not because of this reading habit. [youless]
i like reading books in my bed if i am not yet sleepy. I read at least 1 chapter a night if i can. it is a good material to lull me to sleep. i like it too when husband and i reads books together in bed because we share ideas regarding what we are reading. [gwenmari1029]

I love doing everything on my bed! I read, I get online, I write, I watch tv...If I'm lazying around, it's always on my bed. Haha! It's just because my brother puts the air conditioner so cold so I always want to be in bed under the sheets, I'm so used to it that even when the A/C is not super cold I still do it! Lol. Oh yes, I love reading on my bed, it makes me feel very comfortable and relax and I could enjoy the book more. If I sit somewhere and read, I would have a feeling like I am studying for an exam or something and it's not really an enjoyable experience for me. I think my bed is the only place I read my books. And I would have all my pillows surrounding me so that I could be more comfortable. [wondericequeen]

When i was young i really like reading on my bed but somebody told me that its not good to your eyes. Its true because i feel my eyes was blurd sometimes and i went to the optometrist and find out i need and eyeglass. I stop reading on my bed and i just read before going bed but not on my bed anymore. [happymom1]

i also like reading on my bed because you can stretch out and change positions. If it is late though and there is something i really need to get read or really want to read i need to sit in a chair because there is a possibility that i may go to sleep if i am in my bed. But then i have a favorite recliner in a reading room so it is comfy too. [tina12679]

I like reading book by sleeping on the bed. I generally put two or three pillows to gain some elevation so that i'll be in the most comfotable position. I really arrange my bed very neatly before i start reading. That gives me a kind of motivation to read more. But then if i'm reading some subject books that way, there is no doubt that the very next second i will be sleeping. [sandeep_t]

I enjoy reading in bed, that is about the only place that I do it, a long time ago I had insomnia and I was told to do the same thing every night before I went to bed and it would eventually train my body to go to sleep when I did that thing so I chose to read and now if I pick up a book and start to read I get really sleepy so it takes me a while to finish a book but I do enjoy reading! I like reading but that depends on what topic and my interests. I usually read novels on my bed but not medical and research books. Boring stuff like that makes me want to sleep instead of reading it hihihi. [jinggay02]

Well,I like reading story books and newspapers,magazines etc on the bed leaning on my pillow. But i read in my bed only those things which donot require much concentration.I donot prefer to read my college or school books on bed. I prefer to walk and read.In case I am tired ,only i go to bed and study there.otherwise i donot do my studying in the bed because I am not comfortable with that style of reading. [rakesh_07]

I love to read on my bed. We donīt have a couch or chairs yet in my house, so the other option would be the floor or my computer chair! However, my kids donīt let me read much. :( Plus, it is hard to find books in English here in Guatemala, that donīt cost too much. I like to read in the bed comfortably sitted and enjoy the book if it is an interesting one as one feels relaxed and it's comfortable but one can fall asleep so one has to be careful. lol. [banta78]

Yes I like reading in bed. I like for it to be very quiet when I read. No tv or radio, just silence. It helps me to concentrate and relax while I am reading. I also enjoy sitting on my front porch in the rocker and reading a book. It's usually pretty quiet. [daycarepal]

i for one love reading very well, but on great note i still love reading while on bed or in any liting position because at this occaision am very relaxed and i get more attention fromthe book and my rate of asmulation is very high and more also with deep concerstation, and sometime i do that for very long hours.Why because all my body in their best position i dont think of any other things apart from that book that am reaing. no,i don't usually do that.my parents don't allow me to do that when i was very young,and i keep that habit still.i like to have a special table for reading and writing,with a lamp,and some books on the shelf,it feels good.i prefer to listen to music when i am going to sleep,and that's another relax way.
