Sometimes I just get tired of reading novels and I have to stop and read some nofiction. I especially like to read books by Ann Coulter. I picked her book GUILTY up at the library today. I also like to read Bill O'Reilly's books. Do you stick only to fiction as a form of entertainment &/or escape or do you read something in the non fiction line? Is is political, self help, or healt and medical?surrenderyawn

I depends on my mood and what I am interested in at the time. I love to read a good romance but, if a subject pops up of interest to me i will read alot on that subject. My favorite romance author right now is Karen Moning. It is usually self help, health, or herbal subjects that I get involved in. I do alot of research online as well. Love to read. [celticeagle]

I read a bunch of genre types of books...I love reading while stretched out in bed before going to sleep. I usually will read a chapter from one of the self-help type books, usually on the Law of Attraction principles which I love reading about, then will read from a fiction book as well. In the fiction line I'm reading the Dark Is Rising series of books by Susan Cooper [pyewacket]
LOL--No actually the Dark Is Rising series is a young adults/children's kind of fantasy series. I'm a real fan of children's books....like Harry Potter, the Eragaon series, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings. [pyewacket]
depend to the storyline,if it's interesting i will read any type of book..my most favorite one are mischief marketing..talking how to be mischief in marketing something;idea or product..very exciting book..i think this is the most interesting book about marketing..most the books that i had read about marketing is very boring but not this book..it's like reading fantasty movie but in book version.. i also big fan of biography self-help,D.I.Y and fiction novel..the my most fave book are graphic novels..i just a big fan with image and dialog.. Since when I do work the thing that I do best is sell or should I say upsell. The marketing book sounds cool. I bet there are alot of good ideas in there. i learned some really cool ideas from a used care salesman that turned out to be a good friend and we have sold alot of cars together. [muscles4me]
Hahahaha, usually i turn to novels for entertainment but sometimes, escape too...I rarely almost neve read books in the non fiction section but if i do, they're mostly self help books..At least they're interesting to read and some of the tips the author provide are really true! Anyway, my favourite author is Jodi Picoult! ^_^ I'm sure many of you would agree with me too, and i have read almost all of her books. That's how great she is.. =D [mira91]
I will agree there is alot of escape in a novel right along with the entertainment. I am not a fan of self help books but i have read a couple of those.confused [muscles4me]
I read mostly fiction novels but occasionally like to read biographies. I think autobiographies tend to be a bit too one-sided, so I stick with the biographies. The ones I like most are of people who lived hundreds of years ago, for the most part, but also some about notorious figures of the last century. My absolute favorite biography was about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He was one amazing (and absolutely crazy) genius! He'd be considered a renegade in today's society! LOL But, for the most part, it's fiction for me, typically Stephen King or Dean Koontz. Real life is just TOO real most of the time, so I like to escape into unreal worlds when I get the chance. I seldom read novels,for I don't have so much time to finish it.And I don't like to leave part of novel which I don't read.I used to read biography,the history of war and so on.But nowadays I sometimes read some fiction in spare time.It is a nice way to spend time. [Jimbai]
I don't blame you for nor wanting to leave a book partially unread. Alot of people are too busy to read daily espcially if they have a 10 hour job as well as other outside interests such as sports. The only way i can finish a book is to devote one hour a day to a book I get into. If I get a book from the library I will check out how many pages it has and then divide that by 10 and try to read at least that many pages. That way i can finish the book. I actually do not live in Missouri, but my I did after I married my husband for about a year we lived in Springfield, but I am not a city girl I am a country girl from Arkansas so he moved me back home, but we live in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas in Newton County which is about 19 miles from Harrison Arkansas which is only 45 minutes from Branson. Yes I like non fiction too. I have not read any in a while though. I reading a collection of 5 five books by Bram Stoker, and "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Angels & Demons" right now. That show keep me busy for a while. [jillmalitz]

I read just about anything that will hold my attention. I love to read most of the time, although I get burnt out every now and then. My favorite book is the Bible and I like to read self-help books in order to better myself. Right now I am reading The Appeal by John Grisham. So far, it is holding my attention. [Rozie37]

yes, i do read novels because i like them esp. the suspense thrillers and some times the romances too but the thrillers make me crazy. I like them to read when ever i get free and that is very rarely happening to me from almost six months. My best time to read them is when traveling outside city .. in trains mostly ..as reading don't allow me to get bore when traveling through train. Apart from this i can read any other reading stuff too ... just anything from any subject ... political, literature articles in newspapers too because i love reading and course books from schooldays seriously not included.
