Hi, i just wanna know how many of mylot-ers in this reading section are wearing glasses. I am wearing glasses since high school, but i also remove them because sometimes i wear contact lenses. Compare to wear contact lenses, i prefer to wear glasses, because is more comfortable and safety to my sensitive eyes.
How about you, do you wear glasses also?
Since when?

Till I reached the age of 50 I was not wearing glasses even to read small letters, I could do so without the aid of glasses. Now for the past 3 or 4 years, I am have problem (it is natural) that I need glasses to read. I do not wear when I go out, or drive the car or when I am using the computer. Only when I read newspaper/book/magazine, I wear glasses. ] TIPS: I was told by an expert to read Robert Bateman eye exercise book to improve the eye sight. [ssh123]
I've been wearing glasses since i was in my twenties. I had an interesting process years ago in grad school where I had a realization that my glasses protected me from feeling dumb----i always thought glasses made people look smart so I wanted to wear them. In the middle of this process, my glasses actually broke on me so I went months without wearing them and my eye sight was just fine. Well, I'm back to wearing them...doc says my eyes need them and things are blurry so who knows? is it medical is it emotional. [rcaira7]
Ugh yes..I've had glasses since first grade when I received a head injury...I prefer contacts just trying to hold onto my money until the sun is bright and I really need to have contacts ;) [mrslisae]
I wear contacts and glasses, it depends on how the weather is outside though. And I need a new perscription for glasses and contacts. Oh well. But I've also worn glasses since I was in Kindergarden, I'm a Junior in college now. [k1tten]
I have had glasses since I was in 5th grade. I got contacts when I was in high school and I wore those exclusively for about 8 years. I have been wearing glasses again for the past 2 years. I started wearing the glasses again after I ripped one of my contacts and I have been wearing them ever since. I like contacts sometimes, but I think I like glasses better as well. [lilybug]
I just got my first pair. I got them as I have been unable to read the ingredients on food I buy at the grocery store. I use a 1.25 magnification, which does help a lot. [justabloke]
nope i don't wear glasses hehe. sometimes i fear that i would have to end up wearing them because i'm on the computer too much or something. hope not though! [kevsgirlalways]
i've tried wearing contact lenses to my work where i was in front of the computer the whole time, and unfortunately, at the end of the day, i felt my eyes hurting and saw them red which suddenly alarmed me and decided not to wear contacts when i have to work in front of the computer. [GourdBreaker]
i have been wearing glasses since high school, too. but actually, i had observed that my eyesight had started to decrease when i was in sixth grade. until now im still wearing eyeglasses. i also wear contact lenses on special occasions but my doctor advised me to avoid wearing contacts as much as possible because they irritate the eyes especially when i'm around in a polluted area. [GourdBreaker]
I do wear glasses, manya_pearl. I have been wearing them since I was 14, although until I was 20, I tried to get away with wearing them as little as possible. Then, when I was in a car accident and realized that I needed to wear them all the time. I am now 40 and have been wearing glasses constantly ever since. I do not wear contact lenses. They really bother my eyes. [dfn12968]
I started wearing glasses when I was in first year high school. I wore glasses until I was in 2nd year college. I do not wear glasses now, but I think I should still continue wearing glasses. Since I lost mine, I had not been able to replace it with new ones. That's one thing I do not like about myself, I keep on procrastinating about things. I would really look into this next week or so so that I could wear glasses against, I want one with a UV filter. [berryliciousme]
Yes i wear eyeglasses. I started wearing eyeglasses when I was in my high school. Im im a near-sighted person and its really though specially when I was seating at the back of the room. [martus]
No glasses still !!!!!! i am maintaing good eye sight from very young age..now i am 24...may be i may get in near future as i am into software industry !!! [it1255]
Never need it. But i´m sure someday i´m gonna use, because i´ve always spend 8 hours at day in PC. [Saicows]
No I don't wear glasses. My brother and his daughter does though and I think its only been a couple of years since they have been wearing them. I think my husband needs them also - he is forever squinting at the tv and laptop! [maddysmommy]
Yeah, I wear glasses but I also use contacts. Right now I'm out of my contacts but I will be getting them again soon. I have had glasses since I was 20. I'm now 29. So, about 9 years. I really love contacts though. At first I didn't like them but after I left them in for a few days (taking them out at night of course) I couldn't even tell that I had anything in my eye. I think that they are the most coolest invention. Well, that and Tampons (sorry but it's true!) LOL.... [SassyKittyKat]
I wear both contacts & glasses. I've had to wear glasses all my life & since my looks arent much to begin with (sad but true LOL), I figured I needed all the help I could get. Thank goodness for the invention of contacts thats all I can say. [robsbrooklyngirl]
I consider myself fortunate. I do not have to wear glasses. My brother has to wear glasses. He also has lazy eye and has to wear an eye patch. He doesn't wear it as much as he is supposed to. His vision is very bad. [nick2008]
hahaha no i dont wear glasses, i am partially sighted and they wouldnt do me any good, lol. So until they perfect an optic nerve transplant im stuck as i am blessed be [ESKARENA1]
I wear both contact lenses and glasses. I've been wearing glasses since the age of 10 and started wearing contact lenses when I was 18. I prefer to wear contact lenses but I tend to take them out as soon as I get home as my eyes get quite tired and dry after wearing them all day. [podqueen]
I am 31 years old and I have been lucky so far. Never had to wear contacts or eyeglasses. Still have perfect vision. Maybe it's because I don't read books a lot. Just a few pages of the newspaper. LOL [wisedragon]
I have been wearing glasses since I've been in 3rd grade, and needless to say I hate them, I was told I would be a better candidate for contacts, and i had contacts for a while, but I hate putting things in my eyes and had a hard time readjusting to them. I am very near sighted but over the years my eyes have improved slightly I have been also told I'd be a gread candidate for lasik surgery, something I can't even begin to afford but wish I could. Mooch [oneandonemakesix]
i have been wearing glasses since 2002... its been a long time i know , i tried switching to contacts but they did not suite me. they itched in my eye. right now i am wearing a esprit frame and crizal lenses. [snnygrover]
Yes i am wearing glasses. I think its since last 10 years that i am wearing them.In the mean time I also tried contact lenses. but it did not suited me. So i am back to glasses. i also think they are more convenient than contact lenses. [subha12]
Well I am wearing glasses since I was 6yrs. Bad eyesight is a hereditary problem with me and today I am practically blind without my glasses. But since my 11th standard, I have been wearing contact lenses since my glasses were too heavy and were leaving ugly marks around my nose. I am more comfortable wearing lenses when I am outdoor, I feel I look better too. However, at home I wear my heavy glasses just to keep in touch with them. [sudiptacallingu]
Yes I am wearing glasses, since my first year college.actually i hate wearing glasses.i love my normal eyesight.I think wearing glasses is more safe than wearing contact lenses, because it prevents infection from getting in the eyes. [vicky30]
I am wearing my glasses if I really need to drive. and if I need to read something that is a bit far for me to see it clearly.. I hate wearing it all the time...Im not use to wearing it... [ayou82]
i wear glasses. I've needed them for distance since i was about 12 and nowadays i need them all the time. i can;t wear contact lenses (they don;t come in anything that would fix my sight) and i quite like beaing able to take galsses off and have everything all fuzzy. [indium]
I got my first glasses in 7th grade, but I didn't need them to read, I needed them for distance. I got my first reading glasses about 8 yrs ago. I'm wearing them now, but I really can still read the computer screen most of the time, its just easier with the glasses on. [ElicBxn]
Ah i *should* wear glasses but since im suffering from myopia and since im always on computer, i usually dont wear them because i see close things...tho i should wear them...also they became very large for my face since i started to lose weight last year so they just slip off all the time and i cant afford to change them :p so im hardly wearing them lately I never tried contact lenses because im too scared to stick stuff in my eyes :p and i suffer from conjunctivities so i would only make it worse i think... [JoMarch]
Yes, I wore glasses since high school too. I am 25 now. Sometimes, when I go to parties or company functions, I wear contacts. At work, I wear my glasses, it's easy to remove and wear back. [jeanniemay]
During the second year of my middle school days I found myself always suffered migraine without knowing any reason. Later my elder brother took me to a doctor and he advised me to wear glasses when doing reading or writing. Since then I have been using glasses and find that I have no suffering of migraine anymore unless reading without glasses. [lkbooi]
i wear my eyeglasses since 2nd year college and until now. i feel my eyes is becoming more and more prone to blurry due to my nature of work. i sit in front of the computer for more than 12 hours at work and at home. so i guess i am the oneto blame for getting eye glass at early age. [djmarion]
Hi I only wear glasses for driving and watching TV, not for anything else. I started wearing them when I was 13, but initially removed them as often as possible as I felt like a geek with them on, lol! I dont mind wearing them now, but only prob wear them 1 to 2 hours a day when driving to and from work and if I watch TV. I dont like contact lenses as I cant bear to stick them in my eyes, and have ruled out laser eye surgery as dont think I could cope with the procedure! [LauraT2008]
