How Is Your Reading

Now im not asking if you can read, i sort of assume you can, no what i am asking is do you still read real, paper, printed books? How often do you sit with a book and have you started reading more or less?

[question posted by ESKARENA1]

responses and comments:

I read every day. I probably read more now because I don't have a television, and I find books much more interesting and informative than watching movies or shows. I have always enjoyed reading and I have worked in publishing and the book trade. [paid2write]
well, yes i have found myself reading much more lately, not sure why but ive rediscovered something i used to hold dear [ESKARENA1]

I seem to go in spurts. Right now and for the past several months, I have been on a spurt and read about 3 books per week. I read novels and non fiction books. I really like to read and cannot imagine not having a library close by to get all my reading material from! If I had to buy all the books I read, I would be broke in no time. My best friend also passes along books to me after she has read them. She purchases alot of them at library book sales for one dollar. [lolalolacherrycola]

I always love to read books, articles form the web, magazines- from reading you can sort of travel to different places and know people and their experiences plus you will be updated with almost about everything. But with my limited time, I'm just starting my new job so I am getting a lot of trainings and a lot of modules from work that I should read so I don't have enough time to sit down and read the books I love (sigh!) [my_january]

I think I read quite a lot. I have to read on average a play or two a week for my Drama degree but aside from that I would say I would read at least one other play outside of my course a week. I really enjoy reading plays and thinking about ways in which they could be staged and performed. Apart from plays I do read quite a bit of fiction probably around a book a fortnight. At the moment I'm reading Lord of the Rings again, and have nearly finished the first book. [beki710]

I read real books every single day. Not a day goes by that I don't at least read a chapter. I love to read. And no, I don't consider reading stuff on the internet as reading. Do I read more or less? Well less, but that is because I have five kids, and they take up quite a bit of my time. LOL [quiltedblessings]

I Love Reading! I started reading when I was a little older than the other kids in my class and we had this wonderful librarian in the grade school where I attended. Because my parents both worked two jobs we didn't get read to like some so I was not too interested in learning. Mrs. Cooley set me down and started me on the love of books and I have been hooked ever since. I didn't get much reading done when the kids were little but I am making up for lost time now! I read about 2 to 4 books a week and I can't seem to get enough. I think my husband would rather I have as much love of cleaning house as reading but o well! [hornswaggled]

Yes I still read paper printed books. And if I find a good book, I definitely find the time to sit down and read. Right now I'm reading a series written by J.D. Robb(Nora Roberts) and it is a Death series. I am on number 17 and it is called Portrait in Death. I also love Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Danielle Steele and Maggie Shayne. Sometimes with everything I have to do I find it hard to sit down and read but I do try to take the time because there is nothing like a good book. :) [cwilson26]

I am what you may call a bookworm. Yes I still read and I love it. My day ends like at 10:30 at night and I usually try and take at least thirty minutes to read a book at night. During the day i do take little breaks to read but that's about it. I don't think the amount of reading i've been doing has changed much, i think I've been reading a good amount considering all the stuff that is going on my life. [ayumitakashi]

MY reading is way behind my schedule LOL I used to have time to read more. And yes, of course I still read real paper printed books... it's a treat to sit down and enjoy a good book:) I am afraid I have been reading less than what I used to for some time but I still sit to read at least a bit each day. MY problem is timing because once I start reading, and if the book is interesting I have trouble stopping hehehehehe [arkaf61]

I read just as much as I ever did, which is alot. I've always been an avid reader. I have 4 bookshelves full and still have piles of books that I have no room for. LOL. I'm one of those people that read in the tub, while cooking dinner, while watching TV etc.... [imsilver]

I actually read more now days. TV is a little disappointing to me. I am currently reading a book by Suze Orman and it is proving to be very interesting. I nurse my son and it seems to pass the time more effectively than watching TV. Being that I am a stay-at-home mom, reading gives me more to talk about than the children. [teeaye98]

I used to read every spare second that I had, you would never see me without a book in my hand. As my family has grown I find I have had less time to read, but recently I have started making time to read again. I only read books, I love them and I have a huge bookcase full of them and I have just started reading through them again. I just wish I had more time to read more! [gemini_rose]

hm, so do you mean reading not in online site? well, i still doing it. whenever i see any newspaper in my office i would like to grab and read it. also if i find something interested in books or magazines definetely i would love to buy and read it. but i also admit that i don't read many as before n those media since internet coming up in mylife. i prefer to read news online cause its more up to dte and reading some light articles from online too. but still in some case reading in books more comfortable than readng through your pc [plumwish07]

Guys I'm sure you all are reading, but what do you read. I really don't know what to read. Once I went to the book store I did not know what to get. I thought there are too many writers with the same things to say. I don't read much at all. I spend my time with movies Oh! I don't mean watching them I watch it beyond just watching it for lux. I have to look at it closely and take out something from it the last book I did are my school text book I have some of them I just bought them, but never used them because my instructor said if I get it I get two point on my grade. I only read for two of my classes the rest I just know the stuff. I don't read news papers at all. I don't know the name of the papers or where to get them for magazines if they write good stuff about a producer director or movie that is coming out I will buy them once in a while feel like I'm missing. once i went out to the store and i saw this book Mills and Brook series but it is a love series I was wondering what the guys at the counter will think if I buy those. they were really cheap . I decided not to buy them any way since I don't have time. I have a tv set at home but I don't watch TV . I watch movies mainly when I'm off school in summer and Dec. [SONIA12MAN]

happy Yes I read every night before I go to sleep, I find it helps me relax, I also like to read while away on Holiday or travelling by car or train it break up the boredom of the journey, I'm not perticularly into reading magazines as such. Cathy Kelly, Sheelagh Kelly and Joanna Trollope are among my favourite Authers, I generally read a book a week. tc xx [TAURUSGIRL]

I dont read books daily ,but i read newspapers everyday. If i start reading then I read for a couple of hours or so. Now a days i spend more time for reading novel. [prasanth_s]

I love to read! I read while I am online, at internet libraries, and whenever I ride the bus I read a book! I like to read two books a week, but sometimes I cannot find the time and only get to read short amounts of words, like on MyLot and other internet places that require reading and thinking of some sort! It is a great way to keep your mind working well! I do not read printed newspapers, but read them online since I found out about a sensitivity to newsprint! Most newspapers are online and many columns are online so I find it easier and keep a list of favorites. While my children were young, I would read to them more and read less to myself! While the children are in school, I can read more. [olivemai]

If there is such a thing I could say I an a readahollic as I read every evening before going to sleep and sometimes takes a few hours during the day when I am not MyLotting to read something I had started. I have always been a reader but now I am retired i do read more and really enjoy it so much. [Hatley]

I read all the time. I am subscribed to a few of my favorite magazines. I also read a lot of books. My husband and I spend a lot of time in bookstores. The bookstore is one of our favorite places to go. We go to the library and check books out too. We prefer to buy them though because we collect books. My daughter is not even two years old yet and she already loves for us to read to her. She is usually not very patient but she will sit for a story. [moneyandgc]

I still read every day although I don't read as much as I used to since the pc took over my life! I read almost every night when I go to bed, although sometimes only a couple of pages before I fall asleep with the book on my head mind you. I also read on the bus travelling to and from work, that's a half hour journey each way. But I used to spend whole evenings sitting reading (sometimes whole days as well!) and I haven't done that for a long time. [Stiletto]

hello there to U...yes, i still do and i really do love reading...even though, i'm so busy at work but i really do find time to read books, especially the BIBLE... I love reading the BIBLE, it's my favorite book ever...i love to read fictional books too, actually, i love reading all kinds of books... Well, there are moments that i really do missed reading newspapers...i just can't because i really need to be early at work, so i just end up surfing the internet to know what's the latest news... I would say that i am so fanatic when it comes to reading...although, there are times, i can't read books anymore due to my work...i am always busy at work... But i always find time to read...as long as the book is so interesting, i will make it sure that i'll be reading that book... Well, when you read, it's like your mind is exploring to what you've just read...reading makes a continual learning process... So i would say, i would never stop reading...it's really a great hobby...well, i do hope you'll read more and more, because that's really good for you...have a blessed day ahead of U...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!! [angeljenn]

I read a little less, but that is because I am busy writing. So when I read, I take time when I am eating,(cannot eat at the computer) and I read very carefully so to remember what I read. I also read a book or a magazine when I am not that interested in what is on Tv. Right now I am going through a large novel and hope to finish it in the near future. Before I would skim through the book and then go back, wondering what was the motive for so and so to kill whatcamacallit. But now that I read with more concentration it takes less time to read. [suspenseful]

I am a picky person on what I read, and the last Grisham Book I bought, The Appeal, I never finished, I got 1/4 of it read and could tell you the outcome, I really hate when I can do that, so I didn't read it.....and Grisham is one of my favorite author's.... Most of my reading is something I prefer to do on the net.... I used to go to the library and buy hte withdrawn books which they charged like 3 for 1.00, and paperback books were 5 for 1.00 so I could get decent books cheap, and if I didn't liek them , I wasn't out of a lot of money. But if I like a book I can be through it before I go to sleep Mooch [oneandonemakesix]

Read it! It was the first order for those who want to serve the world as an humanbeing. Before doing some readings......you are also advised to have a good habit:you have to dare to say "I dont know". This is he first starting point for you to learn/study knowledge. By saying "I dont know" you are placed yourself in the center of golden gate to open your perspective. By saying "I dont know" you will be directed toward a vast and mistery of knowledge. This motto "I dont know" usualy could make you be a man with wisdom. [bonansa2008]

Reading is a good habit. But it's inefficient if you read more than 3 hours. Because you will feel tired. Now it is a good idea to have a rest. Then if you feel right ,continue. [Denney]

It's been a week I could not really read. My mind is occupied with too many things. But I read almost everyday. I think I am having break after a long long time. Reading is fun... and it gives one knowledge too! [headhunter525]

hi ,thank u 4 ur emotional question,i feel that i am the best person to ans ur question ,,,because..most of the time ..i'm in and around books.....its bepends on how u take it,,and how much intrest u hv.. [akhilarya]

I graduated in June 2006 from my university. And then I found my job in a big city. I was busy with my work and when I got home, I felt so tired to do any more reading. I watched TV instead and then went to bed directly! One day, I suddenly realized that I had gone so far from reading, even newspapay. What I spent much time on is TV and computer! I decided to do reading everyday, even it was only 10 minutes. I heard that anyone could form a habit in 21 days. So I made up a plan and sticked to do the reading every day for around 30 days! Now I have the habbit to read and like such a lift style! I am sure it is better for any of us to do the reading! Pls believe me! [jiaforever]

I actually collect vc.andrews books. so i read ALOT. not so uch the last few weeks.as i was working on my lot trying to make payout.and when i get on here its like an addiction.when i go to log out i find a good topic and i cant click out till i have read and answerd that discussion LMAO. over and over and over. like right now is umm 5:24 IN THE MORNING! i should be asleep:P. my daughter woke up at 3 and stayed up till 3:30...loland im still here:). [xXxMikesWifeyxXx]

I love to read and do it everyday. I read a real book. I like to sit down in my recliner and open up my book and get transported to wherever the book is taking place at. I read more than I used to. [sunshinelady]

oh well it's a dificult question i dont know we have to think about it , everybody has a diferent opnion its depend of the point of view of every body i think you have to decid it or maybe yes [fulano123]

I read quite a bit lately. I just read Diana Carroll's biography. Before that I read Wayne Newton's, Marlon Brando's, Louis Armstrong's, Bette Davis' biography. I seem to be addicted to biographies lately. I rarely read fiction. I use to read quite a few self help books but I guess I gave up on that, lol. [lucy02]
Oops, I meant Diana Ross' biography, not Diana Carroll's. That might be a good one to read too though. [lucy02]

Yeah, I still read paperbacks. It's like the best kind of reading material ever invented. When I have free time, I always sit with a pocketbook in hand, seriously reading. Oh, it's one of my habits. [cr0ssf41r13]

i really dont like readinf yet i do want to read many whenever i start one i can never complete it it take me months to finish a bookj [sweetpunch]

Oh yes, there is nothing like the feel and the smell of a real paper-paged book. Whilst I often read of the computer screen, I don't think it will ever be the same as a real book. :-) [derek_a]

I was a bookworm at a very early age. I have not changed my reading habits. I read every day, sometimes with the telly on. If I find a good book, I just can't put it down. I never could read those e-books. I always end up printing them out. I like sitting down to a good book, a nice fire and a Glass of wine. I just love to read! Hubby and I were sitting outside yesterday enjoying the sun and the two of us were reading books! [spiritwolf52]

I am a total bookworm. I read everyday, usually before bed for at least an hour. I always havea book on the goand others waiting in the wings. I've always loved reading. [maybebaby]

I love to read books, and I usually read before I go to sleep at night. Last week I finished two. Granted, it's easier when everything on television is a rerun! I still cant' grasp the conbcept of people reading books on the Internet. I like to lie in bed and have the book in my hand. Maybe if I had a laptop I'd understand it better. I'd rather do something interactive on the internet, unless I am researching something. [Anhedonia]

I read constantly. If I'm not at work or on the 'net, you'll find me kicked back in my favorite chair with a book in my hand. I'll read anything...which can really be a pain sometimes, 'cause I'm one of those people who finish every book they start, no matter how horrible it may be...and there've been a few that were terrible. I finish them anyway...I'm either a glutton for punishment or secretly hoping the book will get better, not quite sure which it is... [myklj999]

I have actually really been reading lately. I'm reading about two books right now. I'm learning that wealthy people read because knowledge is power. So I feel that I need to stay reading books. See if you want to put a secret in a book people do not even know because they do not read it. [DESMASTER2007]

most of my news reading is done on line i do read fiction novels but i am not currently reading anything I hope to start another one here soon by Dean koontz unless I get a new Christine Feehan (hint to my hubby behind me LOL) [zukepr]

I can't usually get to sleep without reading a little first so I keep a couple books by the bedside table. If I'm into something really engrossing, I read it whenever I can snatch time until it's finished. Basically, I'd rather read than watch TV anyway. [irisheyes]
awwwwww thats me i read before i sleep lol blessed be [ESKARENA1]

I like to read but with the Internet I do not read as much as I used to. Last night I lost my power and the Internet so I able to enjoy reading again using a Camping light. [whiteheather39]

I think I would be classes as an 'avid' reader. I love books and the house is full of them. I often read favourites over again. [nannacroc]

I have always loved books and loved reading. I read every day. I read about as much as I have always done. reading has always been an important part of my life [teison2]

I used to read a lot more then I do now. It was nothing for me to read a book a day (and I'm talking books of 300 or more pages). I'm a very fast reader as well. Now though I only read occasionally. Not because I don't enjoy it or that I can't find books to read it's due to neck and shoulder injuries. Holding the book so that I can read it causes me to have a lot of pain. It makes it very difficult for me to enjoy the book anymore. I still do so like I said but not like I used to. My last new book to read was Mary, Mary by James Patterson. I have one book out in the care that I am reading when ever I have to wait for someone at the store, bank or what have you. It's called Black Sun I think. However except for in the car like that I'm just not reading like I used to. Sad I know :( [emeraldisle]

I read almost every night, i dont think my reading has changed to more or less over the years its kinda about the same. I find if i dont read before bed it takes me longer to fall asleep. I'd rather read a printed book anyday to a digital book. Roo [kissableroo]

I am a reader. I love books. I love the comfort of a book in my hand and being able to turn the pages. To me it is like sitting down with a good friend. I might read a little less since my three year old was born. These days Dr. Suess and his friends get a lot of time in my house. [makingpots]

I have always been a reader and will always read books, of the paper kind! probably have 75 waiting for me in my computer room right now! I don't read as much as I used to since I spend more time online and with my grandchildren since I retired in 2006, but when I get around to it and read. I have been trying to finish the one I am currently reading since it belongs to a friend of mine and I just got the newest Danielle Steele, that I need to read. I also just bought a new one by Janet Evanovich, who is always a good read. I read some at least a little every day. I take my book with me to the bathroom and often I read before I go to bed. The other day I went to my room to read but ended up with a 6 hour nap and not because the book was boring, because the one I'm reading is not. [idowrite72]

I read anywhere from 2-5 books at any given time. And I always have one next to bed in order to read myself to sleep. I buy books frequently and I am on a first name basis with my librarian. I don't read as much as I used to because I get tired easier. But I still read quite a bit. [sageivyberyl]

I read the newspaper about once a week. I read magazines occasionally but not that often. I find that most of the time my reading is my children's papers from school or something that has to do with work. I do try to read aleast one book/novel a month. And usually when I start it I finish within a few days because I am the type of reading that just likes to keep going til I am done. [luvingmygirls]

Reading was my all time passion. Before finding Mylot I used to read sometimes 4 novels a week. Sadly know I only get to finish one a week. I tend to go to sleep too quickly when reading now. [Goodie123]

Hi ESKARENA1, I like to read books, yes the real printed ones. I believe that books will be around for a long time yet. I probably don't read as much a I once did, but I still wouldn't give up my books. Blessings. [Pose123]

I actually prefer to read something printed. Maybe the "younger" generation who literally grew up with computers don't mind reading off on a computer but I actually hate it...I'm known to print a LOT up...Say I get a PDF file that is more than 60 pages long...I'll go to the library to print it up to save my ink (heheee)...to sit and stare at a 60 page PDF file on the computer would drive me daft. Give me a book or some printed material on paper to curl up in bed anytime. I once had a friend of mine say, one day there will be no such things as books..everything will be on-line, and I'm thinking to myself,...what a tragic day that will be if that ever came true [pyewacket]

I have become disabled and I can't hold a book easily, so I either download audiobooks on my iPod or read them online. [fec139]

I love reading books. I have started reading even more since my daughter joined the track team. I pick her up from practice and she's almost never ready to go when I get there. So I sit and read instead of becoming annoyed that she's not ready. On Monday nights, after her practice, she has voice/piano lessons. Because she chose to go to school further away from home, we don't have time to come home and then go to her lessons. So instead we sit in the parking lot for about an hour until her appointment. We both use this time to read and relax. Other than that, I try and read for about half an hour before going to bed at night. That is if I can keep my eyes open at that point. [michelyn]

I read books all the time. I think it's because my life is so hectic, it's nice to "escape" for a while into another world. While I wouldn't trade my life for anything (maybe upgrade, but not trade) I end up picturing myself vacationing in some of the places in the books for a change of pace. I think I read a lot more now than I used to. [chellekellam]

I do still read paperbacks, but not as much as I used to. It seems my love for reading comes and goes...There will be months when all I wanna do is read, then other months when I can't find the time to pick up a book. I like to keep one in my purse, cause you never know when you could get some reading time in during the day. [Kecia08]

I love to read, and pick up a good book every night an hour or so before I go to bed. I find it relaxing. [QueenRainbow2001]

Oh... my yes I still read. Can't imagine my life with out the written word. I read mostly paperbacks. Usually fiction. I spend at least a couple hours a day with my nose stuck in a book.I even read while riding in a vehicle. I'd rather read a good book than to view TV or even surf the web. I am what you might call a book worm. [dreamcatcher937]

I read everyday. I actually prefer reading real books as apposed to books on line and on tape. I also love reading the newspaper, magazines and pretty much anything else I can. My hubby says I always have my nose in a book or magazine. I can't imagine not reading. [cortney09]

I love reading. I read everyday. I would have to say that I do read a lot more than I used to. I read books, as well as magazines and newspapers. I always read when I get into bed, for about an hour before I go to sleep. My hubby says that I always have my nose in a book or something. That's probably true. [cortney09]

Well, I am always reading some or the other thing...and that is almost every moment of my life. Most of the time I am either on PC or studying my books. When I am on PC, I just turn out on some good places to read good things. I have so many e-books downloaded and I tend to read that. Real - newspapers? Well, I read the headlines, and rest of thing shows up on Internet! So basically, I am a reader almost the whole time except Eating or sleeping. lol [Amagnimo]
I just missed this...I have books on mobile to which I read before I go to sleep. The mobile books are so handy! I just cant stop fancying them! [Amagnimo]

I enjoy reading printed books rather reading online. It feels good to lie on couch and read novel and others books. [divyagupta]

I honestly hate reading. I have to read something a bunch of times before I actually comprehend in full what I have just read. I never have time to just sit down and read anyway. I would love to have more time to read though and try to escape from the daily life routine. [stephcjh]

I still read books ,magazine, newspaper and stuffs but mostly i look for things in the area of my business, and i also love to read about teenagers cos i have got two lovely kida on my hans who ask just about anything from me and if i say i dont know they think their father is a dullard, one even told me one day that he told his teache that his father is more intelligent than he is ,i aske d him why he said the teacher could not answer his question but that he trusts that if it was me he asked i wont even think before i answer him,so you see why i must be busy now? [BYOLA2871]

hello Eskarena1. I still read printed books / papers. I think my eyes can't stand staring too much on monitors, and printed books / papers still become my needs. well, I have collected less novels, magazines, or fun reading books, but I still buy some self study reading books, or tutorials, or those magazine I feel worth to be a collection like art books. Some of them are not available online, so there is still a need to seek the printed version. [bongkarpasang]

i always have to sit and read a good book coz in that way i learn things that is not recognized in the internet. [ayou82]

sure i am reading books or sometimes newspaper but not too much as books usaly i read novels in arabic or newspepar in arabic too to see something or if there is something important happaned other than that all my reading is on the pc someimes i read pdf books on my pc it is kind of fun than the usal books but after while i get so tired or board i don't know that from me or reading on pc like that [proftiger]

Reading off the pc screen makes my eyes scream murder....so I prefer the old fashioned media, newspapers and books. There was a time after I left school that I thought I do not need to read anymore. But reading is my passion so it did not take me long to return to the library. I sit down with a novel everyday for at least half an hour. I no longer have the urge to finish a book even if the plot is terrific, it is the act of sitting down to read that I am more interested in. Then of course, there is the reading for info. The WWW can provide only so much and many times, a trip to the library to flip thru some books does wonders. [catmint]

I have already loads and loads of books since I was quite young. I used to even read two or three books at a time! Now I just pick up one book and finish it within a couple of days. I love reading and find it very relaxing... I couldn't read e-books or anything like that, I have to have the book in my hand and I like to curl up with it. [wickedangel]

since I am a writer and an e-zine publisher I do most of my reading for my work, I must read submissions all the time to see if they are suitable for my e-zine [winterose]

I have always been an avid reader, ESKARENA, and I usually don't miss a day reading from one of the hundreds of books that I have accumulated.rolleyesrolleyes Reading is a habit I cultivated even before I started school and I have never lost my fascination with books. Reading is the most effective way I know of to broaden the mind. [worldwise1]

I like light hearted reading, something airy fairy,romantic,sexy,enticing....mum once offered me her book on Henry the Eighth and his six wives..I was sooo sad to have to refuse!!!! Give me a fun read anyday!! [ruby222]

i love reading, such as storybooks,magazines,philosophy,etc..and i have reading everyday, especially in the evening before i hit the slats,i always need to do some readings for some time, sometimes half an hour, sometimes one hour or more and then go sleep,i think it is very substantial. [leo321]

I use to read everyday, pages at a time depending on the book that I'm reading. I have gone all day and night on a few books too. Lately it's been once or twice a week at most. I decided to take my son to the public library today since its Spring Break (haven't been there in a few months now) and decided to take a few books out and spend this week doing a bit of reading each night. I did read in the bath yesterday LOL I do that from time to time [maddysmommy]

i used to read novels. i even finish them in a day or two. but lately, i rarely have time to read. i have books lined up for reading. sad to say, i barely touch them to even scan them. i really miss reading. [jeanne94668]
I have found lately that too many other things happen to prevent me from devoting time to reading. I know i should find time for reading but really i dont have the time lol blessed be [ESKARENA1]

Yes, I still read paper printed books!! There is nothing in the world that can compare to that!! They are fantastic. I love the smell and the feel of books. I rue the day we go strictly to electronic books. I will cry miserably and only read old books. I used to read constantly, like a book a week. Lately, though, my businesses have started taking off and I've been able to read less and less. So now I'm at a book every two weeks or so I guess. I don't think that I would ever be able to go without reading. I have to read at least 30 minutes every day (a book not just a website :-) [andiesartistry]

I haven't done lately, i don't have enough time. [giePortlandOR_08]

Of course I still do. Nothing compares to printed, paper books. A pile of books beside my PC will atest to that (I also have a tendency to start a new book, even though I'm not finished with the current one, I sort of read "alternately"). I've been buying books every salary, so the unread ones far exceed those which I have read. I also carry books inside my bag (can't go outside without one - handy while waiting in lines or taking a break from work), there's also one in the bathroom, the dining room and the living room (basically parts of the house I tend to frequent)...and there's one in my work locker. [hitomikanzaki]

I still enjoy reading from books. I have a hard time trying to read books that I have gotten online. I just enjoy the down time away from the electronics. I can really get into reading a good book. [kaysue4]

I used to read a lot before. Now that I am enjoying the internet, I have lesser time reading. Though everyday, I still read the local and national news. But with respect to books I hardly find time to do it. [jpso138]

I am good reader.I have good speed & i still have a habit of reading. [rb200406]

It takes me a lot longer to read anything these days. I usually read in bed at night or in the afternoon but instead of reading, I fall asleep. Even if I sit up, I still fall asleep. I guess it's an age thing. I'm reading two books at the moment and have another two that I've started and can't get into. I will someday soon. [MsTickle]
That is something i have never sucessfuly managed. I have never managed to read two books at a time, i confuse the story blessed be [ESKARENA1]

I love to read real books. The older the better. I love the smell of old paper. It helps me to put things into perspective. It's like I can feel the old timers actually putting pencil ro paper when they were writing. It helps me to understand that when I write, I am taking part in soomething that has been going on for centuries. It is humbling. I know, I know, I'm soooo old school. lol [Guardian208]

yeah still read those once in a while..if i got the time..happy [vanities]

I love sitting in the hot tub out back with a good book. I had a load of Gift Cards from Gather, for Borders bookstore, and yesterday my husband and I went out and spent them. I now have enough stuff to read, for the next month or two. [danishcanadian]

I have started reading more currently. I read books as well as the newspaper. I read mostly fiction and I read a book every 3 months. [sohelkm]
i too have started reading more, but have a book every few days [ESKARENA1]

I love to read....I wish I had time to read more. I read every night before bed...it seems to relax me ...if i don't read before bed, I seem to toss and turn all night. I get a weekly newspaper that I read every Wednesday. I like to read things online. It makes me mad because I have 2 sons, 11 and 17 who hate to read....I think that you are just missing out on so much by not reading. I even like to read owner's manuals. lol Nadine [Nadinest]

I still read books. I always have loved to and I read the same if not more than I used to. I love to sit in my recliner and curl up with a good book. I read everyday at the end of the evening. [sunshinelady]

I scan through the free Metro paper on a morning on the way to college, because there is nothing better to do, but then stop and do the Sudoku. Other than that I am currently reading and re-reading 'Enduring Love' for my English exam. But other than that I don't read anything, other than stuff that a pass on the internet. I just don't have time, since exams are close. But after that I am hoping to get back to reading one book a week. [Elixiress]
Ohhhh lol i so remember that thing as a student, reading all the texts i had to read, this meant i had nothing for me no time to read for pleasure at all. Now i read all the time blessed be [ESKARENA1]

I have tried to start reading books again, but I stopped about 40 pages into the book two months ago and haven't bothered or even tried to pick up the book since then. I used to read all the time, I guess it just phased out of me. [motorheadbanger]
