When I read book I usually read books with 600+ pages. I read it in 2 weeks top. I remember whole book by reading it once. My friends say that is amazing but i don't think like that. [humra7]

It depends on the book I'm reading. If it's a storyline that I can get into quite quickly, then I'm likely to read it within a few days because I take every opportunity to read it. If it's one that I'm not too fussed about then it takes a lot longer, but I try to make sure that I always finish it, no matter how dull! [Nadura]

I can read a book for a long span of time. The longest I've ever spent reading was somewhere between six to eight hours in one day. I don't really get bored with the book unless it really is a boring book. The more I read a particular book, the more hooked in it I get. [RenaCeline]

I am a fast reader and skip over alot of descriptive details in novels. I generally read 2-3 books per week. However, if I'm reading an educational type of book, it takes me much longer as I'm trying to really digest and learn from it and want to retain the info. If I have a good novel, I could read it cover to cover if circumstances allowed! As a kid, my parents could take me anywhere as long as I had a good book to read. just let me read and I'm happy! I can read a book in about an hour, depending on the length of it, and how interested in the story I am. It took me forever ( a month or so) to read War and Peace, not because it was long ( 1000 or so pages), but because I couldn't get interested in the story line. A longer book takes anywhere from two to four hours to read. I read the COunt of Monte Cristo the other day. Since it had 600 pages it took about four hours. [Bd200789]

I read at about 800 words per minute and I average 40-50 books per year. Some I go through faster than others, depending on the rhythm of the book. When I was in grade school, I could read an entire book in one day. And, I'm talking about a book that was over 100 pages long. But I did not enjoy the book. I am not sure if what you are referring includes novels. Because i really love reading novels especially when its all about love with action topics. If I like much the stories im reading and i am already almost at the climax of the story, i even stop reading until the wee hours in the morning. I remember once that I got only 2 hours of sleep and then again continue reading for the whole day until I finished the story.
