No matter how interesting a book is, I prefer to read it only once. When I tried reading it the second time, I couldn't seem to finish it. Not even the first five pages. Maybe it's just that I find it more exciting to read books I haven't read yet wherein I still don't have any idea of what it's all about. How about you? How many times do you read a book? =)

I have no choice but to look back to my textbook since medical school.I have to always remind my self what was written for guidance.I can't remember how many times did i read all my medical books [asawanialvin0611]
I know that you are referring to fictional books.I just happened to be not so keen on reading books other than my textbooks. [asawanialvin0611]
When I was in college I used to read the books needed only once, especially if they're not my type. But I've read Harry Potter books I think more than five times each book, because I love it so much. I read the others twice or thrice, just to get the full meaning and lesson from each book. I read books twice if they rouse my attention and more than that if I really liked it. Sometimes I have to read the book again and again because I want to fully understand what happens and what lessons they teach me. Good reading! [potterfire]
Oh you're writing? I guess you're a type of person who shares what you know about life through writing. That's really nice. You see, when you write, it won't fade away. You'll always leave something that can be read and remembered. God speed! =) [nrtan2000]
I read any book only once. Even if I like to read it for second time, I couldn't spend time for it because I have so many other good books to read ;) [sramanujam]
I so agree with you, sramanujam! =) There are so many good books to read and so little time. Thanks for the response. [nrtan2000]
I often read all books once. But there are some books that I really love These books,I can read again and again,I always find some new in the text [Garfield1]
Thanks for sharing, Garfield. You know, there are times that I really really like the message or lines in books, I highlight them. It's nice. Everytime I scan the books, I find the quotes easily. Take care! =) [nrtan2000]
I love reading books. And once I liked whatever books I'm reading, I really tend to read it all over again. Among the books I read twice or more are Robert Kiosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad (a motivational and wake-up call, finance book) and Dan's Brown's Digital Fortress (intriguing and suspense action packed). I don't even remember how many times I've read Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, but still I like reading it especially when I'm kinda at a lost again on my life struggles. To remind, and motivate. [Insung001]
I see you find inspiration and motivation in books. That's nice. =) Books are really fun anf enjoyable to read, but it's also important that we find lessons in it. =) Thanks for your share, Insung! =) [nrtan2000]
I only read the student material for my university :) [daniel1050]
You mean, textbooks used in school? Hehe. You're not fond of reading other books? Thanks for sharing, daniel! =) [nrtan2000]
Most books only once. But I do have 'keepers' and read them again. Usually it is years later, so I've forgotten all the details and it makes it fun to read again. As I'm reading I'll think "Oh, I forgot about that". Right now I"m reading The Heretics of Dune, the last time I read it was about 20 years ago, and I am thoroughly enjoying it, I don't remember anything about it. It's like reading it for the first time. [thelastwolf113]
Wow, 20 years is quite a long time. But that's a neat idea if I should say so myself, I'll have to try that after a few years. I, too, have my own favorite books. Thanks! =) [nrtan2000]
Hi There, I would say on average I usually only read a book once as well. However, if I really love a book I will read it more than once. For instance, the Lord of the Rings trilogy I have read 3 or 4 times. Usually I read the book once however and then tend to give it away to somebody. cheers, [golfproo]
You know, I somehow appreciate people who enjoy reading thick books because I myself don't have that much patience. hehe. Thanks for your response. =) [nrtan2000]
I can only read a book once unlesI wait a while before I read it again so that I had forgotten some of it. Kind of like watchging t.v. shows. It has to be a while before I watch the same exact show again. [surveygrrl]
Yes, books are like movies. The only difference is that it's in written form. Thanks for your response, surveygrrl! [nrtan2000]
Okay well i collect vc.andrews book. and i always buy a new book when it comes out. but if im down and out with no money i always look back to books i havent read in a veary long time.and i dont remember what it was all about.. and then i read it. if i dont have any books like that and ive read and remember the rest. theres no way id make it through i know.lol just knowing whats ganna happen. takes all the suspence out.then makes the books boring. [xXxMikesWifeyxXx]
Okay, I'll just have to mark you as the best response. hehe. You just stated completely what I was thinking. Reading them again when you forgotten them and of course, there's no fun in rereading if you still remember what's going to happen next. =) Thanks for sharing. [nrtan2000]
I too feel the same .I generally prefer reading suspense based books.and once u complete them there is no point in reading it for the second time. Not only books I dont like to watch movies also the second time.(except a few very good ones) [bhaskarsrkr]
Yes, there'll be no more thrills when you reread books that you have already read. Not unless you forgotten every detail of it. hehe thanks for your response, bhaskarsrkr! [nrtan2000]
After years and years of reading a book once, I will find it on the shelf and get interested in it again. It seems like there is always new experiences once you got to read a book again. I know it's quite a waste of time but it's strange that I already forget how the story went. I want to refresh the story in my mind again and relish the experiences from reading it. You get to appreciate the book much better. :) [cr0ssf41r13]
I learned something new here, thanks. =) Okay, I'll have to try that after some time. Yes, I agree. I might appreciate the stories better just like in the movies. THanks again... =) [nrtan2000]
It would depend on the kind of book. If it's a novel, I just read it once. Which is why I prefer borrowing books from a friend rather than buying my own copy. I have some Happy Potter books which have been sitting on the shelf for years because I put them away after reading it once. Some books that I read more than once are the self help ones especially if it's about business practices. Inspirational books such as those need to be read over and over again just so I remember the information. [mimico]
Very well said. I'm not fond of reading self help books, only novels. And I usually read novels only once, too. =) You just reminded me of the books I have, which my friends borrowed and never returned. I've even already forgotten who borrowed them. =( Hmm. I'm just the type who wants to own books that I find interesting. hehe. Well, so much for that, thanks for your share, mimico! [nrtan2000]
I hardly ever read a book more than once. I am the same as you. I already know how it is going to end so what is my motivation to finish the story. Sometimes, if I have time, I like to reread crime novels or mysteries once I know the end so that I can go back and see if there was hints to it throughout the book. [optimisticgrl23]
You like to take shortcuts. hehe! Hmm yeah. Sometimes it's so easy to guess the end part of the story and there's no need to spend time in reading all in the middle. Well, not unless you're interested in knowing every information. Hmm Thanks for sharing. =) [nrtan2000]
If it was very interesting I will read ir again and again until I can retell it.I think if you like it you should pay sometime on it. [lishiwei]
Hi lishiwei! Hmm yea, you're right. You know, there are times that I really wanted to read thick books because I know they're good, but I never pay some time to read them. I guess I should try that one of these days, since I'm done with my college books. Thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
yes, mostly i read books once. the only books i read several time (which against my will lol) is the text books when i still studied in college. [sutanhartanto]
Hi, sutanhartanto! I swear, you're not alone. =) LOL. Thanks for the reply! =) [nrtan2000]
i can easily forgot the details on everything ive read that is why sometimes i read it not twice but than that. though not the whole book anyway. just the details. funny i cant forget the page of that certain topic and forgot the details [chubibo]
Hi there, chubibo! You know, I usually scan my favorite books, too, for some quotes and lines. And here's something I do to save time in searching for the details: I highlight the lines I wanted to remember. That way, it won't take much of your time in scanning the pages. It works for me, maybe it will work for you, too. Thanks for sharing. =) [nrtan2000]
How many times can I read a book? It depends on the book. Some books are so bad that I can't get all the way through them once. Some deserve only one reading. But some books can be savored over and over again. With those, I notice that I find things the second or third time that I missed with the first readin. I also love to go back and read books that I read 20 or 30 years ago to see if I still enjoy them as much as when I first read them. [kenzie45230]
Hi kenzie, nice to hear that. =) I surely like to mark you as best response, too, if only I can mark more than once. You made me realize that some books are just so good that they're worth to be read more than once. Upon reading your response, I can still enumerate some good books I wanted to read again. hehe. Thanks for your reply. Appreciated it. =) [nrtan2000]
For me it depends a lot on what kind of book it is. Some books have given me such an insight in human nature that I reread them again and again. Reading those books I always find something new. Sometimes even a sentence I did not read carefully before will enlight an enture world. I love John Steinbeck when it comes to that. East of Eden is that type of book. [atacamaval]
Same here, there are times that I miss out some lines, too. I guess it's because of reading it too fast or not giving enough attention. Hmm that's nice. Different authors have different views. It helps us understand better. Thanks for sharing. =) [nrtan2000]
No, I'm with you, I only read a book once. There are so many good books that I don't want to read the same one over and over. May as well spend my time reading a new book. [Nana530]
I'm glad to encounter someone similar with me. hehe. Hmm I guess we're not exactly the same. I also don't read good books more than once, but I wanted to. I just don't have the patience. Grr... How I wish I have. Hmm. Thanks for your reply. =) [nrtan2000]
If i read a book and enjoy it i give it time and then after a year i read it again. although i do not enjoy it as much as i did the first time i like to read it at a leisurely pace [naseeha]
Hi naseeha! That's good. Books do make a good company if only we allow them to. Thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
I usualy read once also. But when i need to look for information and i remember there was written on the book i have read, so i begin to read it once more. [fratertelo]
Hi there, fratertelo! I usually do the same especially a few months back during my school days wherein I need to recall some important informations. Hmm thanks for your response. =) [nrtan2000]
It depends on the book. some books will kindle our interest and i like to read those books twice and other books only once. [vishnueie]
I agree with you, vishnueie. Though I haven't read my favorite books more than once yet, I always separate them from the others because there are times that I feel like scanning them again and again. Thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
I only read a book one time. I just cannot get interested in a book I already know what is going to happen. [whiteheather39]
Hi whiteheather! Hmm, thanks for sharing. =) So I guess you'll have more time reading other books. Take care! [nrtan2000]
I prefer to read it only once.I can read a book only once if It's avery interesting book I try to read again but I can't. [as2006]
Hi as2006! Why can't you? Is your reason like mine, which is lack of patience? hehe. Thanks for your response. =) [nrtan2000]
If I like a book, I keep it because I know that I will want to re-read it again and again and again.... I have some books that I've probably read 20 or more times each! I love reading my favorite books again because it gives me a comfortable feeling. I know the characters and I know what they're going to do and it's comforting to me. I like that. [horsesrule]
Wow, 20 or more times is way too much. =) I guess you are really enjoying because you won't be able to read them again and again if you're not enjoying. Hmm by the way, I admire your 'being into' reading. I can just feel that you are a booklover. Thanks for your response! =) [nrtan2000]
I usualle read a book only once. There are some books that can be read more than once - books that only improve when one uses more time on them. John Irwings books can be read several times and you will always find something new in them. I recomend reading for instance the book about Owen Meany over and over. It will be a new experience everytime. Other books I do not think will give me much if read over and over. Like som simpel crime story. Some of them have other qualities that are worth several readings, but the thrill is not there for me when the mystery is solved. [teison2]
Haha yeah, that's true. Books are more detailed or shall we say complete, while in movies, some parts are not shown. Hey thanks, I'll try to check on that. =) [nrtan2000]
I am reading books only at once eventhough how great a stroty is except for a movie that I could find it more entertaining and watched it after sometime but books only once. [Ohara_1983]
Thanks for sharing, Ohara! Hmm somehow I guess we have the same opinions. Movies are much easier, we could just sit and watched them. Haha. But then, there are some stuffs that are sometimes not shown in movies, whereas it's completely written in books. Thanks again. =) [nrtan2000]
I am usually a one time book reader. Until I found the Twilight series of books and The Black Dagger Brotherhood, I can read these book over and over. I think it is the writing style the characters have so much depth and emotion it makes you want to keep visiting with them and their world. The two authors are very talented and very descriptive they draw you in and make you feel attached to their characters and worlds. [slcharger]
Hi slcharger! =) Hmm yea, you know, it's really easy to distinguish an author who just writes from an author who really loves to write. THe latter makes us (the readers) crave for more readings. Thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
I usually only read a book once and then sell it or give it away. But if I really enjoyed it or met the author I keep them and read them again later on. [wonder_grrrl66]
Hi wonder_grrrl! Hmm, really? Does bookstores buy books, too? Hehe thanks for your reply. =) [nrtan2000]
Hi nrtan, I find that it depends on the book. I have books that I have read several times. If its a Novel and entirely fictional, I probably read it only once, but even then, it depends on the the the story. Blessings. [Pose123]
Likewise to you, Pose! Thanks. =) hehe. You know, I read novels more than self-help books. I don't know, I just enjoy them. THanks again, take care! =) [nrtan2000]
I can read a book over and over agian as long as it was a very good book the so so books I can't bring myself to read again. LOL!!! But most of my books get a work out from me. LOL!!! [bellaofchaos]
LOL. At least your books are worth the pay! hehe Thanks for your response. =) [nrtan2000]
I am like you and once I have read the book I get rid of it. I give my books to my sisters and they give me their old ones. But sometimes we end up having books that everyone has read, I have 3 sisters, so I take them to a second hand book store and trade them in. The store I go to gives you one book for every three I bring in, so it's not so bad. I would rather do this than throw them away.I also love to go to garage sales to buy my books since I usually can find them 3 for a dollar. But to answer your question, again, no I don't read the same book twice. Even if I pick one up that I have read many years ago, I can't read it because I remember the outcome and I don't like to know the ending of the book. [chrislotz]
Thanks for your suggestion, chrislotz! Actually, I was thinking of selling some of my books, too. If I have time, I'll try to check some bookstores if they're willing to buy secondhand books. =) tHanks again... [nrtan2000]
It depends on the book. I've had some I've only read once, and then gave away, and I have others I've read a dozen or more times. [Bd200789]
Hmm... I see. Hehe I haven't gave away any book yet. Only there are some that were borrowed from me and aren't returned yet. Well, I think it's a good idea to share. Thanks for sharing. =) [nrtan2000]
for a story book, i would just read only once. while for some other books, such as philosophy and science, i often need more than one time reading, since every time when you finished the reading, you will knew something new. [redkey65]
I'm not like you, but I can say that your way is better. hehe. You see, I'm fond of reading novels and fictions more, which I know aren't helping me as much as the others. Anyway, thanks for your response! =) [nrtan2000]
If I like the book I will keep it and reread it. Sometimes I will read the same book several times. I have books on my shelf that I have had over ten years. Sometimes I just feel like reading and I can just go find a book instead of going out to the library or store. [Ruthep]
Yea, you know, I don't usually go out to the nearest library to read, too. I guess being at home is more comfortable. hehe Thanks for your reply. =) [nrtan2000]
When I was in college, I would read books and magazines at the same time. Now that I graduated, I seem to ignore all my textbooks and mostly had thoughts of reading poetry or glancing at historical pictures in a book, especially my literature book. I practically find myself reading ebooks online. [Peppersquirrel]
Hi peppersquirrel! =) I just graduated this year and I noticed that I'm also starting to ignore my school textbooks. Hmm, I guess that's normal. In fact, I feel excited now because it seems like I have more time in reading books I wanted to read, rather than books I needed to read. LOL. Thanks for your reply. =) [nrtan2000]
hi. I also read a book once only. I have an idea to read books I really enjoyed once again in the future, let's say after 20 years since first reading. When I say it I think about novels etc. of course. Books like guides, textbooks could be read many, many times. have a nice day, jazgottt. [jazgottt]
Hi jazgottt! =) I'll have to try reading my favorite books again in the future, too. Thanks for your response and suggestion. =) Take care! [nrtan2000]
It depends .sometimes for a really nice book ,I'll read once again and again until I get used to the views what it said .sometimes I review some books only for the reason to master the spirit of them. [manofmountain]
Hi manofmountain! Hmm.. that's nice. Yes, sometimes I also read for the sake of learning. I guess it's not a very good idea, though it's not bad either. I think it's just better if interest plays part in it. Thanks for your response! =) [nrtan2000]
I like reading and very much, but I only read my books once. Whatever time I have for reading I reserve for the next one, as it is always exciting to read a new book. I do have books that have meant a lot to me and that I have liked and I have often returned to them, but not to read them all, but just to consult about something, or read a special part. Enjoy your reading! [sylvia13]
Yes, I agree. Even by just thinking of reading a new book, there's always excitement. hehe. Thanks, sylvia! Take care! =) [nrtan2000]
I read some books over and over again. If you are like me, you read a great many books in a years time. If you really enjoy a certain book, put it on the shelf and leave it there. A few years from now, it will be vaguely familiar but it will be like a new book. And as you get older, those gaps between reading it again will become more often or you will find you no longer really enjoy it (because tastes change with age) and pass it to someone else. I once had a Danielle Steele collection for years. The one day I just could not read another one of her books. Nor could I stand to read any of the old ones. I packed them up and gave them to a younger woman who was just beginning her own collection. Made a great gift. Then there are other books, ie. Little Women and Little Men that I have had all my life and I still read them from time to time. [sageivyberyl]
Hmm... I read books but not as much as you do I guess. BUt I do place my favorite books in a shelf, too, where I can easily grab them. hehe. Speaking of Danielle S., I have also read her books and like you, I couldn't reread them again. I think once is enough...Hmm, I'm not a very big fan of her. By the way, that's generous of you. At least you have the chance of giving them. Lol. Unlike me, my books were borrowed by several friends and I already forgotten who borrowed them. hmm. Hehe! Anyway, thanks for your share. =) [nrtan2000]
It depends on the book. There are some books that I will read over and over and others that I find that I cannot get into at all. [whiteheron]
Hi there, whiteheron! I'm not alone, then. Hehe. There are times that I just can't finish a book no matter how I try. Hmm thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
Hi There. Well, when I was in college, I read books twice a week when I have nothing to do but now, I seldom read pocketbooks or novels though I always have one book that I get back when I am free so I can continue reading it. Cheers! [jesbellaine]
Hi jesbellaine! Nice to hear that. hehe! I couldn't read much like you do. Maybe only one book a week. But that's really good. The more we read, the more we learn new things. Take care! Thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
Most books I read only once but there are some books I can read many times. It depends on how interesting the book is. I have read Anne Maccafrey's dragon books many times. I know the story well but I just enjoy taking the journey with the characters each time I read it. When I do read a story more than once there may be many years between each trip. I have read Tolkein's Lord of the Rings many times as well, although I have not read it now for many years. I have also read Terry Pratchet's Diskworld series of books more than once. The more often I read them the more I enjoy his humor. When I do read a story more than once it is because I enjoy the characters so much that I can see them as old friends. In books like these it is not the outcome of the story that matters but the journey. [sharra1]
Hi there, sharra! I realized something from you. I always read and I never look back on how I appreciate the journey. As I was thinking now, I know I did enjoyed every reading I had, so I guess it was a good journey after all. Thanks for your response. =) [nrtan2000]
I can read a book two or more times, but not in the same year. It is usually a few years after I read it the first time, and then I read it more slowly as I have to find out what I missed. I tend also to browse through them. The first time it is getting through it as quickly as possible. NOw if I read it slower the first time, then maybe I would not read it again, but by that time, they have made the book into a movie and I want to find out if they messed things up. [suspenseful]
I don't "read" as much as I used to as my cousin gets books on CD to listen to when driving, so I "listen" to more these days. Maybe about 30 per year (read and listened). [nanajanet]
Actually, so far we have been able to find all books we wanted on CD or tape. [nanajanet]
Hmm, not much. I'm not that busy i could really read a lot.. :) Befure i used to read but onln finished few books from cover to cover, some i just finish the first chapter and i forget about the book i'm reading.. :) hehe [jewilim]
Hehe! You're funny. I am like you when I first started to get interested in reading. But there are books that just makes me wanna keep on reading. Sometimes it just gets more interesting as you come to read more. Thanks for sharing, luv! =) [nrtan2000]
When I find an author that I like really will I will keep it and after some time will go back and read it again. I have some books that I read over and over. One of my favorites is the one that Oprah is pushing. "Pallors of the Earth" by Ken Follet I read it many years ago and will bring it out every once in a awhile to reread. I like to read long books and books that have real substance, that way they are worth rereading, [deebomb]
Hi deebomb! It's good to have patience and interest when you read. Many of us are trying to see whether the price we paid are worth it. I guess you won't have a problem with that because you love long books. For me, I just make sure that I enjoy what I read. hehe. THanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
iam in college right now so each day i read books and lots of it guess when i finish college i will never read books at all [kilani123]
LOL. Good for you, you're learning every day! hehe. When you finish college, I'm sure you'll appreciate the books you've read! =) THanks for replying kilani! =) Have a nice day. [nrtan2000]
For some good books, I read a few times. Because each time you read it, you have different feelings, and understand deeper. [curious888]
Hi there, curious! Yes, you're right. It's not all the time that you feel and think the same, it'll always be different. Thank! =) Take care! [nrtan2000]
I usually only read a book one time. [kellys3ps]
Hi kelly! =) Thanks for your response! [nrtan2000]
Some books I can't even get past the first few pages, like The Golden Compass, or Redshift. But some I can read over and over again, like the Clan of the Cavebear series, and my favorite book, Armor. Most books though, I only read once. I can usually tell if a biik is going to suck almost right away. I've read thousands of books, so I have to be picky about what book I'm going to get into. [karathrace]
I see, I'm not the only one who can't finish some books. Hmm there are really books that are so boring and too detailed, which spoils all the suspense. Good for you! It's better if you know what book/s interests you rather than just pick something without even bothering to know if you'll be able to read the entire book. Thanks for sharing! [nrtan2000]
I will read a book many times IF I enjoyed it. I think I have read The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Narnia Series, Harry Potter series as well as the Ann Mcaffrey's Pern books all about 5 times. I usually borrow books from the library the first time around and then purchase them to reread them if I liked it. Books that I haven't enjoyed never rate getting purchased and added to my book collection (unless its a 25/50 cent garage sale item then i pass them on to other people) [saundyl]
Hi saundyl! Wow, what a collection...really nice. Grr...(Oh, I envy you!)haha joking. =) Hmm... I just watched Narnia 2 this afternoon. It's really good. I feel like I wanna buy the series, too. hehe! I actually don't have plans of buying them, but now... I don't know.Hmm...thanks for your response! =) By the way, you're smart to borrow and read them from the library before purchasing them. I seldom know people who are like that. Happy reading! =) [nrtan2000]
it depends one the book. I have a few books that i have read 10 or 20 times. i am a book buyer and keeper. i like to own my books. just in case i want to go back and need to read it again. i love to read and i don't mind reading a book more then once [34momma]
Hi there, momma! I agree, it's really nice to own books, especially when you like them. Thanks for your response! Take care! =) [nrtan2000]
Hello thanks for sharing your views on reading habits. I am a retired professor of physics and a regd astrologist, numerologist, gemologist my choice of books is large. I have a huge personal libray on these books, that I have builtup in the last 45 years. I have purchsed all, no borrowing lol.I read the same book several times. [bhubaneshwars]
Wow! Congratulations, Sir. Those are some things to be proud of. =) And having your own library is really nice. Since you're retired already, I guess you can have all the time you want to read and relax. =) [nrtan2000]
I also read a book once. If I find it extra interesting, I may read it for the second time. However, there are some books like self-help books, which I can read any number of times, to remind myself of good points, it contains. [dpk262006]
Thanks for your nice comments. [dpk262006]
Me too. I guess the exciting and you love the way it was written when you read it first. If you read it twice, you get to read it like you know it and gets bored of the story. I've read most of my favorite movies and they're good, they're preferrable. [thaMARKER]
Hi thaMARKER. Yes, I guess if you love to read, reading books of the movies you like will be more explained and appreciated. =) Thanks for sharing! =) [nrtan2000]
I prefer to read one or two times more. Not more times than that. it becomes boring then to me. [eTycoon]
Oh, I see. I think I am similar to you. Thanks for sharing. =) [nrtan2000]
Most books I read only once, but there are some books I love so much I can read over and over again. For those books it really does not matter that you already know what is going to happen. It is the same as with movies, I guess. [Natazzz]
Yes, I believe so. There are books that are really good that makes us wanna read them over and over again. Thanks for sharing. =) [nrtan2000]
I agree that a book is always less interesting when you read it a second time as that feeling of anticipation is just no longer present. You may notice a small detail or two here and there that you missed the first time around, however, very rarely does it adding anything noteworthy to your overall impression of the book. I usually find myself reading my books only once. If I do read them a second time, I would have to wait at least several years, or long enough to forget enough of what I read for it to feel like a new book again. It always seems to be the ones I enjoy the most that I read only once and wait the longest until reading again (if indeed I decide to revisit them again). Maybe that's because they leave an impression on me that is so lasting that I don't feel the need read again when I already know exactly what its all contents are and what all it says. [skydancer]
Hi skydancer! Yes, you're right. Sometimes the reason why I want to read the book again is that I just want to refresh the story. And I always make sure that it's an interesting one. If not, it'll be plain boring. Thanks for your share. =) [nrtan2000]
Same here, I have favorite books that I can only read one time as well. I will however, watch a movie about the book after I've read it. I don't think I've ever read the same book twice. [guss2000]
Thinking about it now, it's be a long while since i read a book and then watched the movie. I haven't seen too many movies come out in a while that were based on a book. Stephen King does it alot, but I can't name anymore authors that do off the top of my head. [guss2000]
i love reading books before but so far in all the books that i have read i never read it again except the Bible that i read many times because some of the words i didn't understand even i read it over and over again. there is a mystery of this book that is why i read it many times. [julyteen]
There are some books I do reread. July is the anniversary of Ernest Hemingway's birth and death, so I like to spend July reading new biographies about him as well as revisiting his literature. I always gain some new insight whenever I reread his stories. I think it comes with my changing perspectives as I age. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath is another I've reread. Again, I gain new insights with each read. Both authors have been the biggest influences on my own writing. [KATRINKA]
