responses and comments:
I don't usually reread books. I love the excitement of reading a new and different book. There are some that I will reread, like the classics. My favorite to re-read are "Little Women", "Gone With The Wind", and "Bestseller". I have some passages in my Bertrice Small collection that I will refer back to sometimes when I am feeling blue. I love reading, give me a good book anyday. [creativedreamweaver]
thanks for sharing. i would do the same thing if i am feeling blue rereading books that makes me feel good. happy mylotting my friend. [kenchiprincess]
The only books I reread, are non-fiction. Same with movies, unless you are changing the end, I don't want to see it again. [laglen]
most of the books that i reread are non fiction too. happy mylotting. [kenchiprincess]
yes!!very very guilty..lol.. i love rereading books especially when it has a great impact on me..like the harry potter series for instance..i never get tired from reading it..even though my friends say "hey you've read that for the millionth time!" [areej05]
thanks for the post. happy mylotting. [kenchiprincess]
Yes I absolutely love to re-read books! Of course it's not the same as the initial read but there is a richness to the story you missed in the first time turning each page. I do love Lisa Kleypas, and Virginia Henly, two of the writers that got me started with romance. Love them! [madeline_sandwicke]
i was able to read some of the novels of Lisa Kleypas and i like them. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting!! [kenchiprincess]
hi kenchiprincess, i love reading & rereading the book that i like is what im doing if i feel like rereading it... not all the books that i read is that im rereading it.. i only choose few which i really like or love read it again & again... ^_^ thanks for sharing this discussion... have a nice day & happy mylotting... ^_^ [oinkgiz]

I reread most of my books. I don't think I have even one book that I haven't read at least twice. [Bd200789]
i like to read romance novels too. thanks for answering. [kenchiprincess]
I also do re-reading of my books, especially those of my favorites and those books that gives me interest. May it be fiction or non-fiction as long as I like it and inspires me. Happy reading and re-reading. [kookay]
hello there it is nice to know that you like to reread books too so do i. happy mylotting and thanks for the post!!! [kenchiprincess]
I also enjoy rereading my books, especially my Dover Thrift Edition of Sherlock Holmes Mysteries. I particularly love rereading the Adventure of the Dying Detective, and I always enjoy reading the part in which Sherlock Holmes catches the villain off guard by pretending to be dying of some kind of illness, and the villain unwittingly admits to his crime thinking that Holmes was about to be done for. I also love rereading the the Adventure of the Crooked Man, especially the part in which the crooked man speaks fondly of his pet mongoose Teddy. [mymelodake]
thanks for sharing friend. i can feel your attachment to the books that you have mentions for you can vividly memorized those parts that your like the most. happy mylotting and have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
Yes.Itoo love to read and reread some books .Sometimes I end up having loved a book so much that I would be able to go exactly to the chapter if someone reads out a sentence at random from this. I have some light romance books that are my favourites in English and also some historical novels and big novels written in Tamil. Some magazine extracts also find favour with me and I read them even if I have read them again. there are some jokes too. this is also like hearing afavourite piece of MUSIC FOR THE NTH TIME. [kalav56]
great to hear that you can even memorize the lines in verbatim with regard to your favorite books,. i can relate for i tend to be like that when i super love the book. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
Yes many times i read the book again if it is intresting.... [shekhar4uall]
thanks for the post and happy mylotting. [kenchiprincess]
I have read books so many times they've fallen apart. I love to read, it takes me aaway from things in real life taht are bad and gives me a way to get away from the bleakness that is my life. When I was a kid after being teased at school, and then screamed at at home i could always get away from it all in a book. [kitttenskysong]
i totally agree with you that it is a great escape if you want to keep yourself busy away from those that you don't like to be with. heheheheh [kenchiprincess]
Yes, re-reading of books do happen. But, mostly only of technical books. The books that you read for fun are rarely re-read. [ashish_answer]
thanks for sharing. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
hi.. i do... there are several books that i reread like more than 30 times... hahaha... poor other books that i own... happy mylotting [shiloh_222]
hahaha..well, lately, i dont have much time do alot of reading... but i am looking forward within a few days to just read atleast one book... i have been in front of my computer these days. merry christmas! [shiloh_222]
I like to reread the book that i have read.So far I havent read too much books but the books i have read ones are worth reading again. When i read the book for the first time i cannot remember its contents completely. So i reread it to store it in my memory. [prasanth_s]
hello there, thanks for sharing. [kenchiprincess]
no but when iam reading the book if i come across something interesting i do read it more then once to makes sure iam understanding what i read.l read a tome to kill this was a interesting book [annjilena]
i do that as well at times when i don't fully understand the book that i am reading. to ensure full understanding. [kenchiprincess]
yeah i do the same! esp when the books are gr8.. like John Grishams and Robert Ludlum books! glad someone else does the same! happy lotting and have a nice day! [thecrazyjogger]
i think most of us who loves to read do this. especially those books that i am quite attached to i read and read it over and over again. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I find it that the most interesting book which you can read over and over again is "Give yourself Goosebumps". Because everytime you read, you can choose how the actions of the protagonist can affect the ending of the story! Go to Amazon.com buy some good books! [Hajbru872]
hahaha. i am quite familiar with that books. hehhehe. it is somehow like choose your own adventure. thanks for the post!!! [kenchiprincess]
I can not re read a book, no matter how long it has been since I have read it for the first time. I have tried and then the book will start to come back to me what it was about and I hate knowing what is going to happen. Just like watching a movie they are not as good the second time around because I already know what is going to happen. Just takes the interest out of the book or even a movie. [messageme]
thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
YEAH! I would usually re-read the books that I have read...mainly because they're interesting, and I would wanna remember more juicy details about the book ;D [ljy559]
hahha..nop, not entirely...my favourite genres are mystery and action, I reread those books as well, not only romance..hahah :) [ljy559]
I have only ever re-read a fiction book by accident, kenchiprincess. I have read a book that I had already read some time back, and forgot about it. While I'm reading, it seems very familiar, and then I figure out that I've already read it. There are a few non-fiction books that I re-read. [Transdisc]
thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with this topic. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I love reading books and if I find one that is quite interesting, I would probably read it over and over again. no, I do not think that books should be thrown or stashed away somewhere after you read them. Books are supposed to be enjoyed over and over again. Reading a book more than twice will help one understand it messages better. [alindahaw]
same here, i keep all the books that i bought and during my idle moments i would try to reread the books all over again especially those that are my favorites. thanks for sharing. have a great day. [kenchiprincess]
Yes, there are some books that I have read many times. I am fond of Russian stories. I have a few books of Russian Stories and I have read some of them more than 20 times and still like them. [chetandhiman]
thanks for sharing. i am curious though are you from Russia or you just love stories from Russia? happy mylotting. [kenchiprincess]
oh hello kenchiprincess :) i do love to re-read books that i've read before... it's really nice to sometimes read the books we once read, coz at times, i want to refresh myself about it... :) [Nhey16]
hello nhey, especially if you are a little troubled and you need to get of your mind from those troubles it really helped. happy mylotting and thanks for the post. [kenchiprincess]
There are so many books that I want to read that I can't really bring myself to reread a book. There are plenty of nonfiction books that I've read and now refer back to for information purposes. I do reread some youth novels now and then because of a writing style lesson I am trying to learn from them. Even though they are works of fiction, I feel like I am rereading for information purposes.... to improve my writing. [makingpots]
thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. i do the same thing if i need info from books that i read and knowing that i can find the answers from that specific book i tend to check and reread it again. but those books that i reread out of pleasure more of those are fiction books. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
yes, i read books but usually i don't reread that book. even the story/ content is really exciting and become my favorite story. i've lost my interest to reread that book.maybe because i don't have much time to reread and reread again.thanks! [mces0925]
thanks for sharing your thoughts. have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
No.I have never read a book twice. There are plenty of books to be read before our end.happy [balasri]
Yes Kenchiprincess, I re-read a lot of books that I have already read several times. I collect Sweet Valley High up to Sweet Valley University. I have finished reading all of them and there are times when I'm in the mood to read them again, I go and take a pick and just like my initial feelings from the very first time I read them, I'm also getting the same feelings in my succeeding reads. [dianavarro]
that's great. i used to read sweet valley high and university too until i shifted to the the cheesy romance novels of Johanna Lindsey, Judith McNaught, Jude Devaraux and a lot novels. hehehheheh women... [kenchiprincess]
First of all, I am glad to see that one of my friend loves to read a book, and secondly, I don't really re-read a book. I believe one reading is good enough to get an overview of the content. Happy myLotting. [nilzerous1]
thanks for the post friend. that really depends on the book that i reread but not all books. hehehhehe. Happly Mylotting too!!! [kenchiprincess]
I do try to, but I just couldn't find the time. Plus, it's different when you already know the story and when you have no idea how things would go. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I'd rather read something I don't know of. When I start rereading books, I only end up ending in the middle and not finishing it anymore. But, it's a different thing when I watch movies. I could watch movies over and over again and will have no problem about it. Well, it's just me. happy [laydee]
different strokes for different folks. thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one. in my case when i really like the story i tend to reread it over and over again. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
Yes, I re-read many books that I own, most of them are about self/spiritual development, so it is a subject where re-reading can often brings my attention to details that I have missed before. :-) Derek [derek_a]
i like to read those kinds of books too. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
i really love re-reading books. each time you read it you often discover something new. it also gives me a sense of familiarity and i like that feeling when i feel sad. some of the books are old classic like the little prince and little women. also a few non-fiction books like the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. Science fiction fascinates me greatly and i'd re-read it again to figure out how they did it. [cherrylover]
thanks for what you have share. both of you did mentioned what i failed to mention in my discussion thanks for bringing it up!!! [kenchiprincess]
i hardly find time to read books once, how will i manage time to re-read books? Ther is no scope for that. Moreover once you know what the book contains, there is no charm in reading it again, unless of course it is a text book and youhave to readi it for an examination. [mercuryman3a]
thanks for sharing your thoughts about this topic. i guess you are a very busy person and that limits you to find time in reading. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I don't just re-read books, I re-read whole series of books. A first reading often doesn't draw out all the subtleties, so after a while, going back to that book gives a whole new perspective. Then there are the "departure lounge" books, things you read in a sitting to keep boredom at bay. I often re-read them with no recollection of ever seeing them before. For me, the "Discworld" of Terry Prathcett is one series I keep going back to. If I have the time left in this life, I intend to read them all again and this time take extensive notes and write a learned journal article about them. In earlier years I read all the Le Carre books several times, but I eventually got over him. And often if I find an author I like, I will read everything he wrote in chronological order, and then maybe go through them again a couple of years later. Another series I have just finished for the first time is Bernard Cornwell's "Sharpe" series, the story of the Napoleonic wars from the viewpoint of a British soldier promoted from the ranks, and finally ending up as Lieutenant Colonel. I will almost certainly read them again in a couple of years, and if the TV series (starring Sean Bean) comes back on, I will watch them all again too. Lash [grandpa_lash]
hi there, wow a whole series of the book i can conclude that you are a bookworm [/em. i know a lot of people who love read and reread books. thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. i know not everyone finds reading pleasurable as we do and you have presented a new light to this topic. thanks and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I don't usually re-read the books, only in 2 cases: Fight Club and Winnetou. In fact I'm reading Winnetou right now. I've read it 4 times already and I keep getting back to it every few years. It's my favorite book. [Bionicman]
thanks for sharing my friend and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I don't usually re-read books but as I run out of reading materials lately, I decided I'd read one of my books since I can't recall the content and come up with a comprehensive summary. Surprisingly, I enjoyed doing so and since it's a spiritual book I gained a more clear insight of what its saying. [marge26]
that is actually one of the advantage if you reread a book for it gives you a better understanding of some fine points that we miss out when we first read it. this was shared by one of those who have posted in this topic. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
Oh yes I re read my books many times. Not all of them but if I find a series of books I love then I will read them many times. The first time you read a book you are following the story etc but you get to know the people in it and when you re read it then you are following a loved character on their journey and you see things that you missed first time through. I have some books I have read many many times and I know the story so well now that reading it is like taking the journey beside a favourite character again. They are like old friends and you follow through their loves, their happiness and sadness all over again. Each reading is richer than the one before and adds new dimensions. [sharra1]
hello there, thanks for sharing. i totally agree with what you have shared that even if we have read the book but there are some things that we might miss out and we will only discover it as we read it again. [kenchiprincess]
The only books that I enjoyed reading were the Harry Potter series. :) And yes, I sometimes like to re-read my favourite parts, but not the whole book. I usually re-read some parts before the specific movie comes out. I like to recall some moments, even if they don't really follow the book that much now... :( PS: I haven't read the last book yet, so please don't give any spoilers! :) [moonlight_dream]
Oh yeah, I love JK's style! That's what kept me glued to the books so far! Well except for the story, of course... (And I hate reading...) The Harry Potter books were the only ones I enjoyed reading. [moonlight_dream]
i always re read books, if i like them=] i seem to always miss out little details the first time i read a book, and reading it again makes it better=] x [georgiasupergirl]
thanks for sharing. have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
Hi. No, I do not re-read books. Right now I have a lot of books since my neighbor cleaned. Once I have read a book,I send it on to my mother, who readit and then sends it on to someone else. I also buy books at church sales, yard sale and friends give me book....so I realy don't have a reason to re-read book...evewn my favorites. Nadine [Nadinest]
i find that really helpful especially if you are try to de-clutter the house and if you don't have any need for those stuff it wo9uld be better to pass it to someone else. thanks for sharing. happy mylotting and have a great day!! [kenchiprincess]
Hello kendchiprincess, I don't intentionally re-read the novel that I have read. For references and non-fiction book, I do re-read them. One of my favorite books to re-read is Reader Digests. The materials are already concise, compact and easy to read. For novel, it is hard to re-read but I have some books I read a long time ago to re-read them. I like to re-read the foundation book of Isaac Asimov again. I think it consist of seven books. I stumble upon the book accidentally and got hook. Unfortunately, I just borrowed the books and I have to returned it. I hope, I can find a copy of it again and I will surely re-read them. Regards. ninjaninjaninja [robert19ph]
hello there, thanks for the post and have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
i dont like to re-read the books which i have already read.i think it is waste of time.i read book just for fun and i know what happen in the story is enough for me.one of my roomate like to re-read the books and sometimes 10 or more times.i usaed to ask her why she waste time to read it again and she told me she want to learn more from the book.maybe you are right, the book should be read a lot of time and that you can get something from the book.wish you good luck and bye bye. [littlek1230]
thanks for sharing your thoughts have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
I very seldom, if ever, re-read any book I have read before. The Bible is the only exception. To me the joy of reading is not knowing the outcome of the story. [whiteheather39]
that is true the Bible is one and only book that i love to read over and over again. thanks for sharing. [kenchiprincess]
In reading i used to read alot, i do go back to read books that i have read before probably i want to make reference to what i have read. i read and go back to read again!lol [okwusman1]
thanks and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I have only done this twice, I have read Lord of the Rings at least four times and I read a New Earth also four times. I am reading it again. I could be on an Island with nothing but those two books to read and be happy. And I don't really know why. [savypat]
rereading books doesn't really mean rereading all the books that we have read but it only for a chosen few that we include as our favorites. thanks for the post!!! [kenchiprincess]
There has been the odd time where i enjoy a book enough to read it again. Sometimes I'll reread one after several years have passed as well. There were many times i reread a book when i was younger, but not so much anymore. [CurlyRed]
thanks for sharing. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
If I really like a book, i'll read it more than once if I can find the time to do so. [NikkiLuvsAlex]
thanks for sharing. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I have many books that are my favorites. I reread them time and time again. That's why I buy my books and don't get them at the Library. I also pass my books around. Of course this can be a problem when some people don't return them. If a person does this more then ounce I never lend them a book again. [patms1]
i can see that you are really a bookworm. i feel bad as well when people who borrows my books and fail to return them. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
No I don't usually re-read books that I have already read because there is way to many good books out there to keep reading the same one over again. I generally take notes on the books I read and take down all the good and useful information to me so that way I can go back and look at it later in life in case I forget anything that I read about. I also write down other books or authors that books I read suggest to me so that way I can read those works as well. [jambi462]
that's a good advice writing or making notes with the books that you read especially those self help books and textbooks. [kenchiprincess]
Most often,I only read a book 1 time. But i have a few favorite books, that i have read at least 2 times. And I know I´m gonna read them a few more times. There are always a few things you miss when you read a book. [Pippi_Longstocking]
thanks for the post!! [kenchiprincess]
I re-read most of books if i like them . i liked harry potter series and re-read them many times. [akangirl]
thanks for the post. harry potter is a favorite indeed. happy mylotting. [kenchiprincess]
I never re-read a book. I find that I remember the book too well from the first time I read it to read it again and I get too bored reading it again. I also want to read as many new books as possible, because there are so many out there! [surveytaker29345]
thanks for the share. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I will re-read the books I've read before, as I always want to refresh my minds in some meaningful chapters I've read. I usually re-read those motivation, inspiration books. Every time I read, it'll inspire me again, and sometimes I will get different insight. So, it's worth to re-read some meaningful books. [kaka135]
thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one. happy mylotting. [kenchiprincess]
Yes, sometimes I re-read books that I have already read before. Sometimes, it's just for pleasure. Most times, I just to clarify some instances or passages that I may not understand. [afdinki]
hello there, thanks for sharing your thoughts. it is greatly appreciated. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I am an avid reader. I have several books that I have read over and over again through the years. There are still books that I come across that I really enjoy, and if I have nothing to read in the house - no new books or magazines, etc. - then I will re-read the book(s) I have previously enjoyed! To me a good story is a good story no matter how many times you hear/read it! [quinnkl]
i totally agree with you that a good book will always be a good book. thanks for the post and have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
i do re-read books that i have enjoyed reading especially the parts that have been so memorable to me and i still enjoy them. To name a few of these books that i have read not only once, here they are.....Rage of Angels, Sands of Time, Bloodline, Seasons of Her Life, Tender Warrior, Runaway Jury, Rainmaker and a Perfect Day.... [sweetie1026]
hello there, thanks for clarifying. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
no, generally I read very limited books and their is also not enough time to repeat them [dio123]
I often re-read books especially if it is very interesting. Some of the books I re-read over and over again are those from royalty. The Royals by Kitty Kelly (biography of the British Royal Family, their fairytale existence and scandals and controversies surrounding their lives), Diana Her true story by Andrew Morton (relating the sad and lonely plight of Princess Diana within the British monarchy) and The Royal Duty by Paul Burrell (Princess Diana's loyal aide who served the late Princess of Wales as a Butler at Kensington Palace), this book is a personal story of Paul Burrell about his life as a personal footman to the Queen until he was hired as a Butler by Prince Charles in 1988. Burrell choose to join the household of Princess Diana when she separated with her husband Prince Charles in 1992. I loved books and every chance I got I read and re-read books, infact I preferred reading rather than watching television because I got easily bored with soap operas and other TV shows except for quiz shows and beauty pageant. [jlamela]
thanks for sharing your thoughts. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
hello kenchi ,I love books and used to read a lot of thrillers and novels while in school and college.Even now if I get my hands on books that I have read before I love to read them all over again.Infact when I do not get any new books to read and in the mood for reading then I am quite happy and content to curl up with abook that I have already read, provided its interesting enough..... [Roseo8]
hello rose. thanks for the post. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
The one series of books that I can admit to reading 3 times in ONE year is the Plum Series by Janet Evanovich... I absolutely LOVE it! Aside from that, I have too many books to read once before I can go thru and re-read ones already on my shelf... BUT, I would re-read the ones I do currently own, without a doubt! [fran429]
hello fran. thanks for sharing and it is great to hear knowing that you like to re-read the books that you own. happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
I always re-read books. I dont think i would if they werent interesting. So far (in about a week) i've gone through 2 and a half books :/ because i suffer from sleeping problems. So anyway. My reading range can vary from true life stories, to fantasy / pretty much anything. At the moment, im reading Lion Boy - the truth, but the past few nights i have read Lion Boy and Lion Boy - The Chase. I guess they sound really childish... (but they're not) :P They're actually really good, and they're long enough- they're more for young adults i guess. Anyhoo, that answers your questions :P... You didnt tell us what you read or like to re-read? [cryw0lf]
hello there crywolf. that is true for us who likes re-reading books, these books that we like to re-read are those that we find interesting. unless of course text and reference books that we need to check for our references so we are pressured to re-read. LOL. most of the books that i like to re-read are the feel good books, cheesy romance novels and spiritual development books. thanks for the post and have a great day. [kenchiprincess]
In reading, I usually don't re-read the books that I have read, but sometimes I will do that if the book is really good or some part of it is very interesting and useful. And I have to admit that I don't love reading and haven't read so much book in fact. I prefer to read newspaper, magazine, listen to radio, watch TV, or surf the internet. I think that the most interesting book that I have read nth time is about fairy tale, which could remind me of happy childhood. [connieconstance]
hello there. thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic. thanks for sharing your other interest aside from reading. i too love to read books that makes me feel good in the end. happy mylotting!! [kenchiprincess]
It depends how long it's been since I first read the book, although I think I've only ever reread two books. I can't even remember what they were! rolleyes I love reading though, so I prefer to read something new every time [louise99]
hello there, that's true reading a beautiful book for the first time is such a good thing and you learn new things on the processes and so as with rereading some books that we find interesting. have a great day and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
All the time .Sometimes I like reading a book I have already read more than reading a new one. That's pretty much the reason to buy a book in the first place.A lot of people that do not read much ask me all the time why I read a book more than once and I ask them if they watch the same movie more than once. And I definitely enjoy reading the book than watching a movie any day. [sarahK23]
that's true.especially if the book is really good i like to read it over and over again. thanks for the post and happy mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
Yes. I do re-read some of the books I've already read. Especially the books that I really like, I'd read it over again. There's just something about it that I'd like to get back to, in keeping it in my mind more as I keep on re-reading it. Some of the books I've re-read are romance or inspirational, positive books. Archie, not exactly a book, but still a reading material, I like reading it over and over for how many Nth times. [MariaD]
same here. i love to read and re-read feel good books and materials. happy mylotting and have a great day!!! [kenchiprincess]
I reread books on some parts needed to be remembered. I like rereading book or articles that are motivating me. Have a great day! [trickjoseph]
I do the same thing too. I re-read it so that i will always remember my favorite lines. Happy Mylotting and thanks for the post!!! [kenchiprincess]
I do sometimes reread books that I have already read. I have read the book To Kill A Mockingbird a whole lot of times. There are other books that I have read more than once, if I enjoy them a lot or if I learned something from it. I guess whether I reread a book all depends on the book. [cortney09]
I can't disagree. Thanks for sharing my friend. Happy Mylotting!!! [kenchiprincess]
A good book is like a good friend.I never miss a chance to grab that book whenever I am left out with new books and read those interesting parts again and again. It is like hearing a favorite song without boredom. Also, the book kindles the same feeling when you first read that. [srganesh]
That is so true, When I was younger I even consider the books that I like best as my bestfriend. For like friend they are always there when I need comfort and to entertain me when I get bored at home. I am a bookworm and I can't live without my books. Going through my favorite pages and lines makes me feel good and lighten up the load when I am troubled. thanks for sharing your thoughts my friend. [kenchiprincess]
Sometimes, I re-read the books that I have read.I re-read them for knowledge or just for pleasure. Some books are worth re-reading while others are not. For example, I seldom re-read story books. I prefer re-read the books about religion, science, economics, and so on. Tt is 2009 now.Happy new year! And I wish you can have a wonderful life in 2009. [pxhnchsh]
i know EXACTLY what you mean. As a matter of fact, at times i do forget the plot of the story and would re-read the entire book again or just that specific part. For those parts where i really really like, i can just read and re-read that particular chapter for a good 4 to 5times consecutively. [regal_aeros]
Hello regal_aeros i am smiling as I read on your post for I am really like you. I like to re-read time and again my favorite chapters and pages. I just can't help but to feel good as I read on these pages. These pages accompany me on my low points and sad times. Thanks for sharing your opinion and thoughts on this. [kenchiprincess]
Oh my a subject that i just have to comment on. I love to read myself and i read all types of books. If i find a book that i can't put down yes i will re read it down the road. I make sure i read a few good ones in between so then when i go to re read the book again i have a fresh start to it like i did befor and i also seem to fine a little detail in the book that i missed by mistake. I read about 3 or 4 books a month depending on how bissy i am with life. I read so much that my children enjoy reading and re reading the books. I've made it fun for them just like it is for me and i just love getting inside the pages of a book and forgetting some of my day to day stress as i read. Right now i'm reading a Daniel Steal book that yes i've read already but it's still as emotional now as it was the first time that i read it. I still cried at the same part as befor and gasp at the same parts as befor. It still has me on the edge of my seat and that's what i love about certian books. They can drag me in and make me want to see what is around the next corner or in the next chapter and when i'm finished reading the book i say "that's it i want more". [jamie11982]
I don't. I think it's a waste of time to re-read books when there are too many books out there that I could pick up and read for the first time. I like reading books, and I know that I tend to discover new things when I re-read the passage, but knowing how the plot unfolds kind of makes it boring. Thanks for the response on my discussion! I have not re-read a book in years. Sometimes, I will re read a chapter or a section when I have not read the book in awhile, or if I feel I didnt fully grasp the concepts in that part. The last book that I read that I had read before was "Catcher in the Rye" after a conversation I had with someone, and realizing I didn't remember much of the book, since I had read it as a teen the first time. There are some books that just get better every time I read them. I think I have read the JRR Tolkien Lord of the Rings series 6 or 7 times since I first read them in high school. Also the CS Lewis Narnia series is a real favorite. I got this series as a gift when I was in jr high from a favorite aunt. I think I have read all 7 books at least 5 times. [Trace86]
I read my favorite books over and over again. I will often come back to the same book when I'm in a certain book, and I wear my books out. [blademaiden]
i usually only re-read those books that i like. and i'd re-read those parts in that particular book a couple more times. i love those parts where the hero finally realizes that he loves the heroine but because he has hurt her SOOO much, he has to work very very VERY hard to convince her back into his life. and yes, i do love romance novels. [regal_aeros]
Thanks for sharing. I usually do the same thing with my fave books I only re-read those books that I like and try to open those parts where it is usually my favorite parts. Unless of course I totally forgot the plot of the book where I need to go through all the pages again. Just like you I love chessy romance novels. Btw, who are your favorite authors? As for me I like, Judith Mcnaught, Johanna Lindsey, Jude Devaraux, Julie Garland. [kenchiprincess]
Yes, actually I did. My favorite book that I read how many times was the Gone of the Wind. The story has touched my soul each time I read the novel. [chabawel]
