I logged into my E-Gold account today and found only $0.01 in it. There was $13.11 in it. Someone called 'lehanming' hacked it and transferred $13.10 in his account. I am very sad, angry too that why someone need to do this. Snatching on other's hard earned money. I am very tense too that my MyLot account isn't safe too. Thanks God I haven't set MyLot to pay me in E-Gold. I have written to E-Gold to inquire but I have no hope I"ll get back my money. Who knows I may say goodbye to MyLot and all other online earning opportunities I am member of.

I found out that it was lehanming coz in E-Gold u can have the record of each transaction made to and from your E-Gold Account. I even mailed his E-Gold account number to which he transferred my balance to but E-Gold didn't do anything. Presently, i am not using E-Gold coz its just un-safe and their service just sucks. I am sure that if you report whatever you know to the proper authorities, they can track this person down and prosecute. This is such a big problem on the internet. We all have to be so very careful. I read another post today where someone had hacked into someone else's e-gold account too and took all their money out. What is going on with them? I don't have e-gold so I'm not sure exactly how that works. I'm sorry they did that to you and I hope e-gold can figure out what is going on. [sweetgirl_k1]
I am sorry that this has happened to you. You could have learned how to secure your account by applying their Account Sentinel (AccSent) feature. AccSent was designed to provide you an additional level of protection in the event your passphrase is compromised due to poor security practices on your part. In my case, the safest way I have done is to frequently change my password to avoid further hacking of my account. There were times before that my account was used to facilitate receiving money from other sources and dispensing the money to prospective hackers. Upon learning such situation, I change my passphrase anytime. Since then I have not encountered any problems anymore. With regards to mylot's payment method, mylot admin has recommended the use of moneybookers or paypal which so far have no pending cases regarding hacking of accounts. [ryanphil01]

I´m very soory this happened to you. And it worries me too. There are a lot of people that count on that money wich is rightfully theirs. E-Gold is supposed to have a security number. but we have to give our number to the sites in order to be paid. Is that where the hacker got it? Well I have reported to E-Gold by contacting them and sending an E-mail right after the robbing incident happened but no luck. They just replied back that its against company's policy to freeze someone else's account. They even saw the transaction made but didn't do anything.... me and my luck. [ashar123]

i'm sorry to hear that your E-Gold was hacked my a moron..mylot is not using the E-gold payment method as of now..it changes it to moneybookers..E-gold is not that safe as it is well known being hacked everytime..had heard lots of issues regarding with this..you should just use paypal or moneybokers here in mylot and your other paid sites for your security and convenience.. Actually I'm not that shock cause I have red in many forum and others too say that egold is not really that safe thats why mylot do not consider egld anymore as a payment option. This is one of the reasons I don't use Egold. I've heard of this happening too often. I don't think mylot even uses it any more. It seems to me if you know who did it then admin at egold should be able to find out who he/she really is and help you out of this. They should be able to see exactly when it happened and then check to see who deposited that amount into their account. I am so sorry this happened to you. I remember when my E-gold acct was hacked. I was so upset. There was nothing anyone coud do about it. I added more security to my computer and now I keep as little as possible in my E-gold acct. It just does not feel secure. It is horrible to feel so not safe. It makes you realize that there are some on line who are not friends and then you question everyone. I have not worked with e-gold but I never heard this about e-gold, but yes, you never know what can happen to this online things and when as i always think paypal is wonderful but came to know from a friend of myLot that her paypal account was hacked, so its real scary and we should always be somuh careful about it. For prevention you can only install a strong Anti-Virus on your computer. The Hackers use trojans, viruses and key loggers to get your password over the internet. [ashar123]

That happened to me last year and it really was a very disappointing moment of my life, i have been a member of numerous paid to do sites, even autosurfs and hyips and mostly it caters to egold users mainly because egold is ver convenient to use. But it turned out to be scams and even my money in e-gold got hacked also...now that i have stopped sing egold and those scam sites...i just feel sorry for you there, why not switch to paypal? You are right that Hackers use trojans and key loggers to get other's passwords. In my case, the Hacker did not change my password. He just swapped my money to another E-Gold account. I wrote to E-Gold about this but they said that they can't do anything. The service of E-Gold is just bizarre and they are now banned and declared fraud. [ashar123]

there is a virus called e-gold hacker, which is infected in ie browser, may be your ie browser has that virus, check for it.. e-gold alc is for criminals, all scam artists have e-gold alc, it has worst customer service, you have written to them, it is highly unlikely that they will respond... there customer service sucks big time, i have emailed them several times, but i have never recieved response from them [aminnagpure]
