Reading Book, I Never Was The One To Read Books

I do a lot of reading over the internet, and I have just started reading books, going to the Library and getting different books, they have all kinds of books. What kind of books do you read? Fiction or Non Fiction. How about ebooks, I have purchased a ebook on line. Have anyone ever purchased an ebook online. or just tell me what kinds of books do you read?

Oh my goodness i am a complete bookworm!!! I read all the time. I am also a library assistant so the books are at my fingertips all the time. I mostly read Fiction Books. But if there is something in non fiction that intrest me i will read it too!! I read anything that i can whenever i can. I just about go through a book a day. But that has changed a littl since fianls and midterms have rolled around for me. I must say that reading is my hobby i love it and enjoy it so so very much. [punkin1803]

I love to read! I read both non-fiction, and fiction, probably in equal amounts. For fiction I like historical novels, and spy & mystery novels. With non-fiction, I read each night before bedtime, and I average a book every 2 days. (I read fast when I get into a book lol) For non-fiction, I enjoy books about history, especially local history, and like to read about life in different eras. I have read books online for free, but there's nothing like holding an actual book in your hands, and kicking back to read it. I find it tiring to read a whole book while sitting at the computer ...give me my good ole lazy-boy recliner any day hahaha. I used to go to the library once a week for my book fix, but now I just take out what I can read in 3 weeks time because I don't drive and get there as often as I'd like. [JoyfulOne]

I love reading books. I like suspense book, fiction. But lately, I have not read any book because I am busy with myLotlolBut still I love reading book. I have 3 unfinished books that I need to get on so maybe, I will have to have time for it. [ruthinian]

HI Marcie, good to see you putting your library to good use!! I love reading books, all non fiction, & historical books also. I love history...Lori [dumblnddzzy]

I usually read ebooks and they are usually technical [tripathiamit]

I like to read fiction, Marcia. My most favorite author of all time is Jude Deveraux and my favorite book written by her is A Knight in Sining Armor. My other most favorite author is Sidney Sheldon, and my most favorite book of his is Master of the Game.My book of poetry is in an ebook form too, as well as soft cover. [OreoCookie3]

I love to read, I used to always have my nose in a book, that was before I discovered Mylot. Now I read on the computer. I like all books, fiction or non-fiction. I used to go to the library all the time and get books. I would come home with a stack of books and get nothing done around the house. Now I get my nose in the computer and get nothing done around the house. At least I am reading and educating myself. You are always learning something when you read, it doesn't matter what you read, just keep reading, its good for you. [Polly1]

I don't do alot of reading at all. I never have. I don't have the time to read either. I have a very hard time remembering what I have read also. I have seen ebooks online but never purchased them. I don't know a whole lot about those either. [stephcjh]

I have read a ton of books lol but most of them have all been fiction. I'm not big on non-fiction; not sure why but have a hard time getting into them. I love romance, mysteries, fantasy, horror, and any combination of those. A lot depends on my mood at the time as to what I will read. I'll go through spurts and read a bunch of one genre and then not touch that type for a while. I have read a book on line but it's not my favorite form of reading. I have never purchased an ebook but I have known people to that enjoy them. I suppose it depends on the person and what format they like. I enjoy being able to take a book with me in the car or to sit someplace else. I can't do that with an ebook. [emeraldisle]

I love reading nonfiction pertaining to politics, spirituality and biograpgies and magazines (Discover, New scientist, BrainChild, Economist). I have made a goal of reading more fiction but this still poses a challenge since theirs so much I want to learn and spirituality is important to me. Right now Im focusing on Marriane Williamson, Deepak Chopra and Eckhart Tolle. Im reading Path to Love, by Chopra, Return to Love, by Williamson and Cities in Flight by John Clish. Listening to Assualt on Reason in the car and just finished She's Come Undone, which was touching as I expected. [revellanotvanella]

I am a professional writer, I have two books published, the first is in print form only but the second can be purchased in print form or e-book. I don't have much time to read other that articles for my e-zine that I publish though. I can't remember when it was that I read a book that had nothing to do with my e-zine. [winterose]
I didn't know that winterrose, that is great! be the best that you can be. [marciascott]

I seem to do more reading on line these days than anything. When I have time, which hasn't been much as of lately, I prefer reading inspirational, biography to name few of the types I like to read. I really would like to read the Bible more than I do. [terri0824]
Hi Terrri0824, You know what I haven't never sat and read the whole bible, I go to Church and I might read scriptures from the Bilbe I even know a few verses but have not really sat down to read the Bible, that is terrible isn't it. One day I will read it. Thanks for yor input! [marciascott]

I hate reading books most of the time. I just can't get into most of them. I was able to get into the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. There are 4 books in the series and I have read all of them. Then the Harry Potter series. I read everyone of them in 3 months. There are like 7 of those and they're all around 300 to 800 pages long. I don't read books online. It would hurt my eyes to look at the computer screen that long. I haven't read any books since finishing the Harry Potter books back in November. [reene0225]

i read a lot of books. the novels of mario puzo and clive cussler are some of my favorites. i also read a lot of john maxwell books. the "don't sweat the small stuff" as well as titles from that series are also a favorite of mine. i guess i can qualify as a bookworm. i also try to encourage my daughter to read a lot of books. i believe that reading is a very good hobby and it is something that i want my daughter to pick up as well. [allen0187]

I love reading books, just finished Catch 22 and it was fantastic. I haven't ever purchased an ebook as I don't like to read on the screen as much as real books. I like to read all sorts of books, I am reading some modern classics right now, and am starting Kim soon! [creative_genius]

I will read mostly anything from old newspapers, to old letters, to books, fiction and non fiction, autobiographies - in short, anything I can get my hands on. I LOVE reading! I've been a bookworm ever since I was young, and it's carried on throughout my life till now. Right now, I'm on a bit of a roll with books about Spirituality and have an entire shelf dedicated to books about Angels, Spirit Guides, and the afterlife. They make for some fascinating reading, as well as make you stop and think about things too. [angelwhispers30]

I prefer books over ebooks. You can take a book anywhere with you and enjoy them any time. I read both fiction and non-fiction. I prefer to read murder mysteries and spy novels. But I will read just about anything. Might I suggest that when you go to the library you get their online site address (most have them now) so you can peruse that and the amazon site at the same time. This way you can look up books on amazon to find things that interest you and then order through the library. That way they will call you and let you know when your books are ready and you just pick them up. Something else you can do is think of the kind of book you would really like to read, and go to that section of the library and pick a random selection (2 or 3) and see how you like different writers work. I was a librarian and bookstore manager for years because I love books. There are many ways in which you can become a book lover too. Also, the more ebooks there are out there, the less books that get published. Some of us need books to be happy. [sageivyberyl]
To tell you the Truth I was never really a book Lover But I will read from time to time. [marciascott]

I have never bought or read an ebook. I do not like to read on the laptop that much. Not long texts. I do like audio-books better. The hard to read classics are much better as audio-books. You get a lot of the hard interpretation for free when you listen to others read. And that might be good sometimes, even if the reading is a bit less challenging. I like normal books the best though. I like crime stories, classics and fictional novels of all kinds. I like the ones portraying normal life of some sorts the best. i am no Harry Potter reader. I enjoy many many different authors. Lars Saabye Christensen and Ingvar Ambjørnsen are among my favorits. Their books are translated into english, and are well worth your time. [teison2]

I read a lot, too, my friend, but I'm not overly keen on e-books because I like to lounge in the garden and read, or whilst eating my breakfast, or taking a rest period. I like history... especially English History and Legend, so I tend to read a lot of Arthurian books, Robin Hood, the Holy Grail, Ancient Beliefs; all manner of things I'm interested in. I also read a lot of Chicken Soup Books. I like to purchase from Amazon, because you can always get the books cheaper from their affiliated sellers and their service is fast and efficient. Occasionally, I'll buy them in town, from the book store, but Amazon is my main place of purchase when it comes to books or music. Brightest Blessings and happy reading, my friend. x [Darkwing]

there is nothing that can be compared to a feeling of comfort of reading a good suspense book while lying down on a couch [asawanialvin0611]

the only e-books i buy online are books to help me learn more about marketing. but i read books all the time. the books i have been reading mostly over the past two years are self help books. I have been on a personal journey to fine my life purpose, to have a stronger relationship with God. and i have found it. i read a lot of Dean Koontz books and books like that as well. reading is one of my most favorite things to do. [34momma]
thanks girl. I have always had God in my life, but now i have a true understanding of my relationship with God. thank for always getting back to me [34momma]

I have read an e-book once. I prefer reading fiction to non-fiction. I have not read in quite a while though. [Elixiress]
I have only ever listened to one audio book. It was when I was very young. I think it was the Lion Book. I would read the book along with the tape. [Elixiress]

Hi marciascott, Congratulations! Reading is one of the most enjoyable of pastimes. I read both fiction and non-fiction. Try reading some of the classics, you can get any of them at the library. The e-books are fine too, although I've never purchased one. Find out what you really enjoy, everyone is different. Blessings. [Pose123]

i love reading and strongly believe reading opens up a whole new world of experience. I dont think it matters if you read fact or fiction, the experience is the same, I would strongly recomend it blessed be [ESKARENA1]

I read and write over the internet so most of my reading is done sitting up, I do however head to the library to see which books will choose me to read them. My kids are little so Dr. Seuss fills my nights. I like to read all kinds of books so it will spark ideas to write. I've never purchased an e-book but the library allows you check out books on-line and it will download it to your media player so you can listen to it instead of read it. Those are pretty addictive. [gitfiddleplayer]

I will read just about anything that is interesting to me. I can not force myself to read anything that I am not interested in. I like mystery. suspense, drama, love stories, fiction and non-fiction. I don't have a favorite type or book. I just love to read. When I go to the library or the book store and get a new book, I get real excited about going home and reading it. I always feel that it will open up a whole new world to me. I copied a free ebook from the internet before. It was worth it, but I do not do that very often because it drains all of my ink from my printer. [Rozie37]
Alright thanks. [Rozie37]

I am a bookworm. I had bought tons of books and ebooks. I love all kind of books. From romance to thriller to science fiction and also young adults. Recently I try my hand also at audio book. I can hear the book in a car. Easy, right? If you love romance ebooks, I can give you the link: 2 top romance authors, Johanna Lindsey and Christina Dodd. I give you the link if you want. [hcpoirot]

Books are a huge passion of mine. I like to read fiction, mostly. Occassionally I will find a non-fiction book that strikes my interest. But, some of my favorite authors are James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Patricia Cornwell, John Saul, & Mary Higgins Clark. I just bought a couple new books by a man named Harlan Cohen. I haven't gotten the chance to read them yet, but my mother said they were excellent. I am looking forward to my school semester to be over so that I can get back into reading for fun instead of education! [kfrisk]

I love to read but ebooks and online stuff is a pain for my eyes so I make dutiful trips to the local library although the state of books there leave much to be desired. I read only fiction unless they are cookery or craft books. The library is actually a storehouse of any kind of books you are looking for at that moment, at least I have not been disappointed yet. [catmint]

i like any kind of story book. [syedshazadali]

I love reading books. Sadly, time doesn't permit for much indulgence in this area these days, but I'm slowly working my way through a book right now. I read just about anything, as long as it isn't a self help book, political or pushing religion. The rest, I'll give it a go, if I don't like it, then I can always put it away again. [newzealtralian]

i usually read fiction books. adventure and thriller and suspense. some of the books i've read are Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and the Mayfair Witches, Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Deception, etc. i have also read all the Harry Potter books (they were ebooks given to me by a friend, the real books are soooo expensive!). i also read a little from the classic genre and my favorite is Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne Shirley series. i have also read Arabian Nights, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and a lot more. happy i also read local books which are usually sarcastically funny. [secretbear]

I do not like to read long text on the laptop, so I do not read e-books. I read a lot though. ordinary books. I like contemporary novels the most. Or crime stories. I also read some classics, and I enjoy some short stories. My favorite though is contemporary novels. Like John Irwing, Margaret Atwood, Ambjørnsen, Christensen, Bjørnstad, Kjærstad. [teison2]

I love to read so I read a lot of books offline. I am not into reading online as I can't lay down and relax then, while I am reading. I love to lay in bed or the bath tub to read a book. It helps me to relax enough to go to sleep and that is the main reason why I love to read. To turn my brain off of the stresses in my life so I can fall asleep. I have been an avid reader since I was a child since I came from a big family and it was sometimes the only way to get alone time. So as an adult I just continued to read a lot and for me it is an escape from life. [chrislotz]
