My let me see.. i read all 4 books of Twilight Series..very good! Am almost done with the Inkheart series..reading Inkdeath the conclusion...the movie is out now of Inkheart..very good too! Read The Kitty series..a werewolf dj..very good.. [Rosekitty]
yes,you really have to read the Twilight series. If your are not a bookworm, you will definitely end up being one once you read this very vividly written book. The story runs between the love between Edward, a vampire and Bella a human being. The story is very endearing and enetertaining. The conflicts on how to be able to survive a forbidden love.Vampires running after Bella's throat,Werewolve bestfriends, vampires with extra powers beside super strength, more vampires, more werewolves and a half-human half-vampire child. The story is very addicting.im done with the complete series and im about to finish re-reading the four books again.Twilight has a blockbuster hit movie on its belt right now and they are filming the second book,New Moon, hopefully to be released before 2009 ends.I can't help but be excited to see it. i believe you will love to read the book for yourself. The last book I read wasn't fiction, but it was excellent. I love reading books I can learn from, despite my on-going love affair with fictional plots. The last book I read was Get Known Before the Book Deal by Christina Katz and, if you're looking to break into the book publishing world, this is absolutely a must read. Prior to that was yet another non-fiction book, Is Your Teen Stressed or Depressed. This is another book I believe every parent should have on their shelves because, more often than not, these issues will be creeping into households. It's sunny and frigid here. [explorations]
I would enjoy reading both of these books, explorations. Thanks for sharing them here. I love sunny and frigid weather. [makingpots]
The last book that I read was by Mr Obama - his autobiography. I really enjoyed reading it as I had not been a supporter of him and it gave me a glimpse into where he came from, his struggle to choose the 'right' path and succeed. His love for his country came through, time and time again. I am not a citizen of the USA but I was a supporter of Hilary Clinton. I so wanted to see a women as President. She has had so much experience. I am happy with him as President elect but feel that too many people over the world are expecting him to perform miracles. If he can give hope to the world then that alone will be a miracle. I wish him every success. Blessings [cynthiann]
I was looking at his Audacity of Hope book at the store the other day. I haven't either of these yet. [makingpots]
Right now I am "reading" (audio book) The Cardinal Virtues by Andrew M. Greeley. So far it is good but I have not gotten too far yet. I usually listen to it before retiring at night. [nanajanet]
I can, as long at there are no distractions. I can "read" more when I am tired that way, too, as I can close my eyes and listen. Of course, sometimes I fall asleep and have to go back to where I last remember, but sometimes, when tired and reading a book, I lose focus and can read a few pages and realize that I did not remember a word, so it is the same thing. I like them when I am in the pool, floating on my blow up raft, in the hot tub, taking a bath, when I do chores, and when driving. If I am on a trip like a bus or plane, or someone's car, I can do it on a portable CD player with headphones. If I read too much in a car, sometimes I will get car sick, not always, but this prevents that. [nanajanet]
Sunny and Beautiful! I just finished a sci-fi book called 1633. I'd recommend it if you like sci-fi and country folk! [Irishfrndly65]
The last book I read and finished was "Marley and Me" which I read during the days after Hurricane Ike. No power so that was all to do. I loved the book. If you have not read it you will enjoy it and it will make you laugh and cry. I'm currently trying to plow through "The Mystery of the Sea" by Bram Stoker (Dracula). It will take me some time on that due to the author's style and language during that time period. [jillmalitz]
Thanks, jillmalitz. I could use a book to give me a good laugh and cry. [makingpots]
The last book I read was a classic novel I think was written in the 70s. Ghost Story by Robert Straub. I enjoyed it well enough. Probably not a favorite read and at times it made me really tired. There are a group of senior men that are the main people in the story, which for a young female may had been a tad boring. As for the weather! After 4 days of Deep Freeze, we got a storm of snow, then icy rain, then rain. THe schools in the whole Province (canada) have been canceled. The roads are bad and police are saying to be careful and only go out if you need to. Blah! No wonder I get the winter blues eh? Luckily I am fully stocked with books to read to keep me busy. Take Care Vicki [vicki2876]
I remember reading Ghost Story! It wasn't so bad, and I think there was a movie made about it later. [MonkOVision]
I just got done reading "The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks. It was kind of sappy but overall pretty good. I would recommend it if you like romance type novels. It wasn't as good as his other books but it was a good read at the time. I am reading the second traveling pants book right now. I wanted to get it read before the movie comes in the mail from my Netflix account. It's a guily pleasure I suppose :) [emma412]
happy Not a bad guilty pleasure. [makingpots]
The last book I read was Atlas Shrugged. The last book I finished was Dean Koontz's Dragon's Tear. Atlas, no. Dragon's Tear, yes. It is nice and sunny here today. [thebohemianheart]
It was gorgeous! I had my doors open most of the day. [thebohemianheart]
Besides doing the editing on my own new book....I read peppercorn woman which was supposed to be a best seller....it was okay but not one I would run out and buy. I am also reading The Georgetown Ladies club. It's kind of political....true though..and interesting. [jillhill]
How's your new book coming along, jill? I'm sure I would like The Georgetown Ladies Club. [makingpots]
Here is another book that I recently read. It's called Kiss of Fury by Deborah Cooke, the second book in her Dragonfire series. It's a paranormal romance between a scientist on the run and a dragon shapeshifter who is her reluctant protector. A fun read that combines romance, fantasy, action and environmental awareness, I would recommend this series who enjoys fiction and books about shifters and has romance it it. Read my complete review on my blog: http://readlistenandwatch.blogspot.com/2009/01/book-review-kiss-of-fury-by-deborah.html [wayz12]
Thanks for the link, wayz12. Looking forward to reading it. [makingpots]
the last few books I read were awesome... but they were part of a series, and one was a series book that I have started to re-read. "Dark Prince" by christine feehan. also I just got done with the nightwalker series by Jacquelyn Frank which was the last book of that series was "Noah" I read paranormal romance, so if you are into that ...I HIGHLY recommend Jacquelyn Frank Nightwalker series, or Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter series, or Christine Feehans Dark series....all of them well worth the time to read!!!!!!!! [bookreadermom08]
Thanks for the recommendation. [makingpots]
i haven't read lately like i usually love by design is the title, wouldn't reccomend it. it has been sunny here today but cold. i'm in tennessee.do. got a new nora roberts book for my birthday in dec. & it's just not as good as her books usually are. [ANTIQUELADY]
what town do they live in? [ANTIQUELADY]
The last book I read was "Perelandra" by CS Lewis. It's the second book of his Space Trilogy. It's absolutely awesome. He uses JRR Tolkien as his main character and calls him Ransom. Very interesting and clever. I highly recommend the book. And as far as the weather goes . . . it's about 80 degrees F. in Southern Cal and gorgeous. I hear there's rain in the forecast though. [gtargirl]
I know they both belonged to the same writers critique group called The Inklings, not sure if they were room mates but they did both go to Oxford. [gtargirl]
the last book I finished late was Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich. would I recommend it? well, I did to my client, and I would again If you want to read it, I suggest you get her other books about Stephanie Plum first. Start with "One For the Money." Don't forget to read the other "Between the Numbers" books as well, "Visions of Sugar Plum", "Plum Lovin'" and "Plum Lucky." [ElicBxn]
Me too!! But, the only in between book I've read is Visions of Sugar Plums, I think. I have Plum Lovin but haven't read it yet. [itsmefaith]
I just finished The Duma Key by Stephen King a couple of days ago.. I would recommend it if you are a fan of his, I enjoyed it but again, I am a fan.. It was cloudy here with snow showers all day, nothing stuck to the ground for very long but there were some huge gorgeous snowflakes.. [DonnaLawson]
Huge gorgeous snowflakes.... nice. I'm on the Stephen King fan fence. [makingpots]
One of the last books I read was "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. It was very good reading. You may want to get a copy and read it. I paid 50 cents for my copy at a used book sale. Now I want to get the sequel to this book. [ElusiveButterfly]
That's a great one isn't it? Hi, ElusiveButterfly. [makingpots]
I just finished reading Double Cross by James Patterson - Part of the Alex Cross Series (Kiss the Girls and ALong came a spider). Before that I read the Maximum Ride Series - also by James Patterson - these books are aimed at young adults (I am far from that) in a way they are Harry Potter-ish but more Sci-fi. I just started Against Medical Advice also by James Cross. As you might be able deduce I am a James Patterson Fan. Oh, I snuck in The Third Secret - (Sort of like DaVinci Code) during the Maximum Ride Series. I would highly recommend All of these books [Debs_place]
I was begining to suspect the Patterson fan aspect of you, yes. Haha. I am unfamiliar with the Maximum Ride series. [makingpots]
I just finished reading, Becoming Eichmann, by David Cesarani. It is about Adolf Eichmann. It was very interesting. [MonkOVision]
Sounds like it would be interesting. [makingpots]
The last book i read wasn't that long ago, but i dont remmeber the name of it.. i wouldnt read it again or tell you to read it either.. it wasn't that great.. it was some crappy romance novel, only thing my mother in law reads, and the only time i read books is when we are staying at her house a few days, she has no internet and only one tv.. lol. So i resort to books. . it was raining on top of the snow we just got here today.. thanks for asking! [Sissygrl]

I got about 4 dozen Reader's Digest condensed books given to me awhile back, and I've been reading those. Several really good authors in them. I guess the last actual book I read was Stephen King's "Duma Key", and it was pretty good. [MYKLJ999_VERSION_2]
Tublar????? w00t Are we back in the 80s? [makingpots]
The last book that I read was an autobiography of a local sportsman, and it was really good! I had it signed by the guy, so I'm never lending it to a friend incase I don't get it back! It showed a lot of him as a child and a young adult which I found really inspiring, so I will think of him as a really good rolemodel for when I'm feeling down, as he managed to cope with an awful lot in his life! [GemmaR]
Sounds like a good book, GemmaR. I value my autographed copy books too. [makingpots]
Hello, happy Tuesday! The last book I read was about Autism. It was all kinds of true stories put into one book, there were many touching stories and it spreads awareness about autism and how to deal with it. The book quality was ok, I think in a way it was easier to read because all the stories were short reads but then it didn't get too deep in it either. It's a good introductory book to get you to know about it, but I think we have to dig in deeper to get all the types of levels autism has. I recommend to those who are not aware of it. [earthmother]
Sounds like a great book to raise awareness. [makingpots]
Yes, I just got through reading a very worthwhile book last night. It was a compilation of stories from women called She Who Laughs, Lasts. I was encouraged, motivated, and I laughed so loud in some parts that I feared I'd wake my upstairs neighbor. [AmbiePam]
That sounds like a great one. I just googled it. I think I need to read something like that next. Thanks, AmbiePam. [makingpots]
The last really good I read was called "What do you do all day?" by Amy Schiebe. It is a very funny book about a stay at home mom. I read it about 2 years ago and since then I haven't found another book that I really enjoyed as much. [Shar19]
Sounds like one I should read, Shar19. Does the author myLot during her day? Lol [makingpots]
it has been years since I read a book but yes it was excellent, it was the rent tent and it was the story of Leah in the bible. [winterose]
The last book I read was Nicholas Sparks The Lucky One. It was fantastic and I definitely recommend it! I also read two Evanovich old romances when I was driving down here...well, listened to them. Naughty Neighbor and Foul Play. They were both cute. Dark and cold...supposed to be in the 30s if you can believe that!blink [itsmefaith]
Read those between the numbers, they are cute too! [ElicBxn]
Becoming Eichmann, by David Cesarani. It is about Adolf Eichmann. I read it with a friend and we both found it very interesting. [pajamamama]
I dont read, the last book I read took me 4 years to finish....lol [Calais]
Yeah for sure, Just donr think I have the patience for reading...lol. [Calais]
Yes.It was called "Where The Heart Is" I really liked it and you will have to check it out..Look it up and see if its your cup of tea.Its cloudy and I am at home recommending you to read this book:)Have a nice day! [autunno]
Double Cross by James Patterson. Ok, I love James Patterson. This book is from the Alex Cross Series - you know 'Kiss, the Girls' and 'Along came a spider'. Before that I finished the last 2 books in The Maximum Ride Series - totally awesome Sci-Fi - it is written for the younger reader - but this old one loved them. Now I am reading the 6th target - again James Patterson - but this is from the Women's Murder Club series. It was sunny and 40 today. [Debs_place]
