I love reading magazines of all kinds and browsing them too. What is your personal favorite magazine? I am trying to pick just one here for myself but I'm finding that really hard to do. I used to read Bird Talk every month for several years and then it got to where the same topics were discussed over and over. Now I find myself really liking some of the smaller magazines at the grocery store aisles like New Woman and All You. They are quick reads and that seems to fit the busy days I have now.
What is your favorite and why?

I get a Sudoku magazine that is a lot of fun. I also get a couple devotion magazines each month. Sports Illustrated is fine. A music magazine with new music in it is very special. my college magazine is always interesting. I just like to read lots of different things and keep up with what is going on. [bgerig]
I haven't gotten into Sudoku yet but my mother in law loves it! I browse a variety of magazines here too. Always refreshing :) [kareng]
I read too many magazines to mention, but for sheer fun, information, and variety, I have to recommend Reader's Digest. They have jokes, articles, stories and all kinds of features. Penny for penny, you can't beat Reader's Digest for scope of subjects and a really good read! Try it - you'll like it! lol [itsreallymefifty]
You are right--Reader's Digest has a lot of variety and some great articles too! [kareng]
I like Ladies Home Journal. They have good articals that interest me and I love their "Can this marriage be saved?" My daughters like Teen People and I've browsed through it before. I'll admit that I do enjoy the gossip magazines but I don't ever buy them, I usually just read the ones my friends have. I've never heard of Bird Talk....what kind of magazine is that? [mamashane]
I like Ladies Home Journal also! Very good articles there. Bird Talk is a magazine for parrot lovers. It includes nutrition information, taming and articles on different species. [kareng]
Here in the UK we have a magazine called Take A Break, it's really geared for women, but I get it because there are so many prize puzzles in there, which I complete, I don't honestly read it all, I just do the puzzles and send the coupon off for my mum. Once I've finished with the magazine I then save them up for when I see mum, she reads them from cover to cover, then she passes them on to her sister. Well it's my bit for recycling! I've never won sadly but I love doing all the puzzles in there and its only 76p a bargain! Full of stuff and it's the best magazine in the shops, albet female. I don't read any other magazines because I prefer to do puzzles instead. [wolfie34]
Good luck, persistence pays off in the long run! [kareng]
I would say my favorite Magazine has been EW, Entertainment Weekly for the last 2 years. Its interesting to see what is coming out at the movies, or dvds. They even have reviews of books, cds. Its also interesting to see how movies did at the box office which are number 1 and so on. They also usually have reviews of the Oscars, other movies, TV shows. Sometimes they even have interviews with certain TV or movie stars. [yvonne1968]
Entertainment Weekly is a fun magazine. I also enjoy reading People. Just a good way to keep up with the stars! [kareng]
Because I like to de-stress, I'd say my current favorite is People magazine. A close runner up would be Hallmark Magazine. People has entertainment news, but also stories about every day heroes, and health problems that affect so many. Hallmark magazine is just so inclusive. It has everything. I highly recommend trying it out. [AmbiePam]
I've never seen a Hallmark magazine. Now you have my interest peeked. I'll have to see if I can find one to browse at the library. Thanks for the recommendation. [kareng]
Actually I am more interested in reading political and sports magazines. [anup12]
I can handle the sports but not so sure on the politics! I hear enough of all that on TV and radio! [kareng]
I prefer to read Readers' Digest. Its really good and comprehensive monthly with variety of articles and tips on variety of subject and real life stories. Its pleasure and luxury to read RD. [Susharti]
Yes, Reader's Digest is excellent if quality and variet. I used to read it years ago. [kareng]
One of my favorite magazines is BPM, which you can read online for free so it makes it a lot easier to keep up with. Another favorite of mine is Maxim, I know it's a guys magazine, but it does have a lot of really interesting information that women could use to in it. If it weren't for Maxim I wouldn't know that you could get 4% or more in interest on savings accounts through online companies. [hcromer]
I wish we could read more magazines online free! That is an awesome service for the public. [kareng]
I have two (2) favorites. I Love People magazine and Oprah magazine. People offers the newest is styles and current event/newsworthy articles from the past week. Since I don't get to sit and hear much news during the week I like to see what the story was and how it turned out in the next weeks PEOPLE. Oprah- well what can you say about Ms. O - she offers so much on so many topics. She makes us think and answer, she makes us look deep in our souls for the true issues we are facing. SO yes those 2 would be my top picks. [matlgal]
People is one of my favorites too. I haven't really read more than a couple of issues of Oprah though. [kareng]
I only read Redbook now, although I don't subscribe and only read it online. It's got a lot of interesting and helpful tips, plus some fun information too. Once in awhile we get a copy of People from a friend and I do enjoy flipping through it - especially around an Awards ceremony when they have all the best and worst dressed. Finally, I do like Time but only when they produce a special one-time issue. [vivasuzi]
I also used to subscribe to Redbook. It has some great articles in it! I need to start checking it out online like you do! [kareng]
The most recent magazine that I used to buy was Closer. I liked it because there is celebrity gossip in it. I also really like the puzzles and crosswords that they put in every issue. I used to buy it every week but several weeks ago decided to stop buying it for now to save money. Plus I still have loads of magazines that I have not read properly and puzzles left to do. [organiclady35]
I find myself going through the stack often and finding issues that I didn't have time to read. I have an arsenol at my house. I just chunked a few the other day. [kareng]
i like reader's digest. its the only magazine that you can read from cover to cover. [chiyosan]
Great articles there too! [kareng]
Probably Time or Sports Illustrated. Time because it's just classic and they always have interesting articles that are very well written, and Sports Illustrated because of the swimsuit issue...no, just kidding. I love sports, and it's one of the best at covering them from every angle. [tacoman25]
The only thing about Time is that by the time the issue arrives it is old news! [kareng]
My Favourite magazines are busneiss week , goodhousekeeping .. [palpalsky]
Good choices! I love Good Housekeeping! [kareng]
I dont like reading magazines for timepass. But i read business magazines for my business.. I read "Business Today" and "Business World".. [harivamseedhar]
Hi Kareng, I also love reading magazine. My favorite magazine is Readers' Digest. It's really very comprehensive and interesting one. It's a pleasure and luxury to read this great magazine. The main reason I love this magazine is that it contains everything, a reader like to read. It contains everything from humor, true stories, puzzles, and word games to all other interesting things. You feel as if you are learning while reading. There is always something to enrich you mind and body. Oh, how can I forget great surveys and researches on healthy and well being. This is one more reason I love readers' digest. [Susharti]
Oh well, I won't tell! [kareng]
I like Bizarre. you never fail to learn something new from it. [Galena]
Wow, I haven't seen one of those in a long time. I had even forgotten about it. Thanks for bringing it to the forefront! [kareng]
As a former journalism major and present news junkie, I've been reading Time Magazine for almost 25 years, so I suppose that's my number one favorite magazine. As a guy, I once subscribed to Playboy because (duh) I like looking at pictures of attractive women. I haven't bought any new issues (or even back issues) in ages though. TV Guide used to be one of my favorites until it turned itself into a tabloid-type magazine. Gone are the serious articles about the industry and news broadcasts...replaced by glossy and superficial fluff pieces. Yes, TV Guide always did have its gossip and juicy bits about shows and stars, but in the past 10 years it's become more "dishy" than really informative. [alexdiazgranados]
I like Bizarre. it's very educational, you learn about things you never even knew existed, and it really makes you think. [Galena]
hehe. another one owning up to having replied twice. oops. [Galena]
I love reading Computer and Information Technology magazines. Currently I read magazines such as Digit, PCWORLD, Linux4you etc... Also I try to read the online magazines available on these subjects too. Its really a good fun to know about the upcoming new technologies and the existing ones. [senthil2k]
Well i like reader's digest and i always buy when i have a chance. Its very interesting and provides us with enuf information. It has quizes and other various stuff in it... [paradise12]
I like fashion magazines, but that's coz I'm into fashion. :) I read People online (http://www.people.com/) and I like Glam too and have a profile there (http://www.glam.com/profile/citigirl). I don't get Vogue where I live now, but I think I would buy it regularly if it were sold here. :) [juline]
my favorite magazine are FHM and Gadget [webbuff]
I used to love reading Rolling Stone but over the past five or six years it's gone downhill fast. Now I stick with Bizarre most of the time. FHM, Blender and all the other typical "guy mags" have lost their edge, most of the time what you read in one issue is something that was already in some other mag. I'm all for recycling but not when it comes to magazine articles lol. [freak369]
I don't really buy that many magazines anymore....hey,they've gotten really expensive!! But when I do it's usually photography related as I'm a photographer...but every once in awhile I'll splurge and buy Unique Homes...I just love looking through all the luxury homes that are up for sale--at a mere million dollars or so...ah, to dream! LOL [pyewacket]
I do not have a favorite magazine and that is because I usually do not enjoy reading them I think that the ads the certain magazines run is completely foolish. [sanyah1988]
Netfans is my favorite magazine. It's a magazine about computer and software which I am interested in. Besides, it will give you a CD for free every time. And I can find lots of interesting computer stuff from it. This is the most reason I like this magazine:) [youless]
