Nowadays I have bought many kinds of books, such as travel, math, cooking etc. It seems that I am much more interested in buying cooking books because I like cooking for my family and friends. When they enjoy my food, it's my happiness. And reading cooking books will give you many inspirations and you can also learn to cook anything you like.

I tend to buy plays both classic and modern ones as I am doing a drama degree and often need them for my course. However I do enjoy just reading plays and have a lot in my collection ot of pure interest for them. I also buy novels, these tend to be of a more fanatsy nature. [beki710]

My friends and I exchange them at the secondhand bookstores, so I hardly ever buy books, not at full price anyway. When I do buy them, it's mysteries, political satire, compilations like "The Onion" excerpts or "Far Side" cartoons. I do hit the Barnes and Noble bargain table once in awhile, and many times I hit it when I'm buying gifts for people. [Anhedonia]

I usually buy historical romance books, or historical fiction. Most of the books I own, which there are probably a couple hundred, fit into those two categories. Almost all of them are about either the old west or Native Americans. I also have some non fiction books that deal with the same subject. I just recently bought a book by my favorite author, Georgina Gentry called 'To Wed A Texan'. I love her books. They are historical romance involving the old west, and she incorporates actual historic events in them. Most of the books I have my mom bought for me. She know what authors I like, so when they release a new book she'll get it for me. I love books. [storm96723]

I'm really into romance books right now coz I used to read these encyclopaedia and similar books. I love all kinds of books.When I was a kid, I had this habit of stopping in the middle of anything just to pick up a piece of print that just happened to stray in front of me and read anything that's in it.And yaers later, I reaped the fruits of that habit because I recieved several award at school for being reaaly good in general information(I'm not bragging, just being honest).And that's all because of reading anything that's readable. It really pays to be an avid reader. Right now, I've revived my long-ago passion of reading romance novels, particularly those medieval-themed ones. There's something about the ancient stories of honor and love that makes my day whenever I think of it.I guess I'm becoming a hopless romantic. I don't buy books that aren't pocketbooks. I'm addicted to pocketbooks and novels. I read anything, from mystery to romance. I usually buy fiction books. When I have no idea what to buy, I look at the best sellers section. If I've a book and I loved it, I would find other books that the author also wrote. When I hear about good books, I would look it up in the internet and read reviews. Some of my books were just given to me. I also like mystery novels. [onewickedsoul]

Aside from reading the BIBLE, i love to read fictional novels, detective stories, educational books, encyclopedias, cook books, inspirational story books, reader's digest, Christian books, etc... I love to read all kinds of books...as long as it is cool, interesting, and informative...i love reading, it's one of my favorite hobbies, aside from cooking... Reading is really important in our lives too...it actually, explores our mind into another world...it makes our mind really works... To be honest I don't tend to buy books because they are very expensive especially in the high street, so I usually look at Ebay or Amazon for them, because you can save a fortune, I like fiction, detective novels and will buy them cheaply from charity shops to support the charity or borrow them from the library. When I was studying I used the college library or bought the books cheaply online. [wolfie34]

Travel,history books fascinate me as well. I could see some beautiful pictures of famous areas and countries from travel book to get tips on my trip. I like to read all kinds of books. However, i don't like to borrow them from the library, hence i like to collect the books i enjoy. My study is not very big, but in which I place a comparatively big bookcase for my collection. In my spare time i enjoy reading by choosing one of them form the shelf. The process is somewhat an entertainment to me. I like cooking too. I have bought many cookbooks, which include the way to make spicy food, sweet food, etc. Our country is one with many famous dishes, so various cookbooks are available here. hello youless i have a big collection of cookbooks. some of them are brand new. and over half of them i have purchased through yard sales. and nothing is wrong with any of them. what i do, is i keep a piece of paper in the front of each one of the cookbooks that i have already looked at, and an ink pen or a pencil close by and when i am reading through the recipes in the cookbook, and i see one that i would like to prepare later on, i will write the name of the recipe and what page number that the recipe is on, and when i get ready to cook that recipe, i can go straight to it, instead of having to scan the entire cookbook trying to find what i am looking for. have a wonderful evening. These days, I usually buy traveling books and some leisure read from Taiwanese writers. I have been collecting those books and therefore every time I see something interesting, I would buy them.
