THe tittle, the color of the books, the section in what he is,the longer, or hes big? ME, normally, its the tittle or if i know the author, its sure im gonna take a look.

responses and comments:
it has to be the topic of the book. i am a huge history fanatic, so that is what i generally look for, not necesarily the author, but the subject. [cher913]
Me too sometimes i look the subject first. I love history too. [julie85]
Hi julie. For me is the author first and the tittle. I look at the section to see what it is about (second). I don't care about the longer since I love to read. If it is a good book no matter if it take a month or more to be read. Have a nice day. [teka44]
Me too longer dont bother anymore.I very like read lol [julie85]
A couple of things the type of book it is for a start and the author if its one who I like reading. I will give any book a good go though but equally I know when im just not going to enjoy finishing it and theres a fair few books I started but didnt finish. [kezabelle]
i think .... the title of the book is the most attractive thing for me :) [exclusive_Fady]
ya, somtiems tittle say a lot about the book. [julie85]
For me typically its not anything like that because when i go to get a book i usually already know what i am looking for and can just look for it however sometimes something will catch my eye but it is always a title never colors or anything like that. Like i will occasionaly see a book that just sounds interesting so i will stop to look at it. [Darkangel45]
Me too, im more like that habitually. I know what im searching, but sometimes i have envy to discover new books. so i go like by tille author or subject. [julie85]
Usually I look first to see who wrote it. I have numerous authors whose work I follow. After that, if it's someone I'm unfamiliar with, I read the little blurb on the back. [Essie119]
the resume can give you a good info about what book are talking and if its really interest you. [julie85]
If I just walking into a book store then I tend to look in the sections of genres that I enjoy most. Most of the books that I read are ones that I heard about one a podcast of book reviews or reviews that I have read in the paper. If it sounds like something that I might enjoy reading, then I will make the effort to track it down. I hate when I pick up a book from the library and then discover after reading the first chapter that it is not what I expected and do not like it. [optimisticgrl23]
me, i dont look the review so much. normally i know wha im searching if not, i go by author or subject who interest me. if the book not good, ok, im choose wrong, so its not too grave, i have just to pick another one. [julie85]
At first glance, it is probably the topic. However, I always check the summary and, when possible, read reviews on Amazon to make sure it is written from an unbiased, non-partisan perspective. I hate reading about my favorite topics and finding that the author manipulated it to fit his or her political ideology (I mean, if I had asked for politics, I would have looked in the political section). Occasionally the cover or title draws me in and, if I am in a bookstore or library, makes me want to pick it up and see what it is all about. I am not loyal to any specific author - more to the subjects that I am passionate about: dance, old New Orleans, American History, the afterlife, music, the arts (in general)... [skydancer]
oh,, u a specific chooser on book. Me dont bother is author does things like u said in your discussion.I read it same. [julie85]
I always read the narration at the book to see if it is good book. Sometimes the title will look attractive and the book is boring. If it is my favourite author them I will just buy it. [kerriannc]
For me, it is the author first and foremost. If i'm familiar with the author and if he or she is a favorite, then that is an automatic buy. The next one is probably the genre, if it is my favorite. Like I will be busy browsing, say at a bookstore, anything that belongs to the paranormal category I will pick up and look, because I like that type of stories. The blurb at the back of the book can also be a defining factor. If it's intriguing enough, I might take the book. Titles don't affect me at all, neither does the thickness of the book. [wayz12]
In general, we all go with author that we know. we are sure in general that we gonna love the book. [julie85]
Any number of things can attract me to a book. With certain genres, the author is key, but if I'm trying something new, the title and the description help. If I'm in a bookstore, I'll read a few pages randomly from sections of the book to get a feel for the author's writing style (if I'm not familiar with it). If I'm shopping online, I'll read customer reviews. [DreamOn01]
I like chicklit, cozies (mystery-romance). The cover, the author, and the title are important. I can't read a novel longer than 350 pages. [JanetBRudman]
i am usually looking for a book that I already know something about. I dont usually grab a book in the library or at the bookstore. if I do, it's by an author that I have read already and enjoyed. [snowy22315]
I would have to say, it is the author. If the book is by an author that I have read and enjoyed, that will make me choose the book. Or, if I have seen that author do an interview that might make me buy the book. I have a hard time, other than that, finding a good book. Book reviews help. I have been disappointed so many times to find a book I bought is really a rotten book! [getnbuy]
Normally the author and the tittle but also the subject is very important to me. [as2006]
The title of the book is the one which interests me. [bestie]
The author is usually the thing that gets me interested, either that or if I have heard of the title before. The content of the book is also important because it could be a great author but if the story sounds uninteresting I cant commit to it. [adobe4578]
I'm a voracious reader aka a bookworm. usually when I search for a book it was because someone suggested it as a good read, i saw a movie that was base on a said book or I read the reviews about ti somewhere. Other times, I just buy books in bulk at garage sale because of the title and brief summary on the back cover. [gtdonna]
I always seek out my favorite authors first. After that, the title of a book is the attraction and then I read the description to see if it's something I would want to read. I read so much that I have to make sure it's not something I've already read! [pdarley]
For me it is the name of the author that attract me to a book. I read a lot and have more favorite authors than I can read. I sometimes find new ones. Typically in one of the many book-shows on tv. And I go to a book-festival once a year. ¤ days packed with converstions between an intervjuver and authors, book sales, and music and poetry readings. Or discussions between authors. [teison2]
Notmally. it is the author. I therefore tend to buy or read the same author all over again. Wonder sometimes, if I am missing out on things, by not having my net spread wider. Otherwise, it has to be a book widely read or reviewed extensively. [anuch40]
The subject, the cover I ADORE BOOKS [lynnie1953]
Hi, julie85. For me, it is a combination of various factors that drive me to select a book to read. Certainly, if it's an author I recognize and like, I'm going to examine the inside cover of the book to see what the book is about. Also, a catchy title will draw me and even stick in my mind. Even a few weeks after I see certain titles, I'll think about the book and say, "I'd sure like to read that book called ----------." It seems I am drawn to bright and colorful books also, which seems a little silly. At any rate, that's how it works for me. Take care. PearlGrace [PearlGrace]
Good. Me too, its base on that normally. [julie85]
I will read some pages free, I will pick it up if it is ok. [monaliu]
Ususlly, I will be attracted by the main point of the book. And I have to say the color of the books and the tittles are important too. But that wont influence my decisions. [polarisly]
Usually it would be the title and the cover. I would look at both before picking up a book, then I start to flip through and see if it's interesting. [wondericequeen]
Sometimes reading a little the book can give you a litte idea of what u about to read. [julie85]
I look at the summary at the back.If it is interesting,I buy them [asawanialvin0611]
like me, if its interesting than i buy it. [julie85]
I read a book basically because it is recommended. Although if a certain author writes great, I would look forward to his new stuffs. And sometimes I would read the preface, or the notes of the other authors, or the summary on the back of book cover, and see if the story is great. [adoremay]
ok, good, thanks for your post. [julie85]
Firstly, I check for books by my favourite authors. If there are none of those, the cover is definitely important. I hate orange, so never choose orange covers. If I'm not familiar with the author, I often read the first couple of paragraphs to see whether they have a writing style I'd enjoy. [guybrush]
That would be a bad problem ... but I'd have to buy it anyway! [guybrush]
I normally will look at the title of the book first... If i found that book title is interesting then i will only take a look at the book content... [sunnymouse]
ok, u look mostly the titlle, sometimes get a got idea of what the book gonna talking and if u are interesting in that. [julie85]
